Amazon Prime and Premier League Rights

Anyone in Ireland - if you set your address to a UK address and Live Chat them you can get your account changed to a UK account and watched it. Took me 3 live chat attempts but they finally did it on the 3rd go!

I have to say the quality has been great on my smart tv, stable and clear HD quality.

I'm always going to have Prime so I hope they eventually purchase more rights.

Did not even know Danny Drinkwater played for Burnley

Thought he was still in Chelsea's Dungeon being whipped by Abramovichs henchmen with Celestine Babayaro, Josh Mc Eachran, Marko van Ginkel and Victor Moses

Pretty good so far I like it great to have a choice of match rather than sky choosing what they want you to watch.

Like this Amazon idea.

Despiser the first game available. Horrendous watch (except for the goal)

I'm confident that once Amazon have secured the rights to all PL footy they won't exploit the consumers by jacking up prices. Amazon has always been about the little guy.

They just put an incorrect league table up after the City game. Little niggles like this need to be ironed out quickly.

City game was tough to watch for me. The video was constantly bouncing between a dreadful 480p (and less) picture and back to 1080p again every 5-10 seconds. I see several people on Twitter complaining of the same thing. My internet connection is fast, fine and was able to stream the same game from elsewhere without any of the Amazon glitches. Not impressed.

I was already part of Amazon Prime, and whilst I was updating my Amazon Wishlist, I came across the option to watch the City game live. To my surprise, I was able to view not just the game live, but also view highlights (i.e missed chances, blocked shots, goals etc) of the game.

It was flawless for me using an ancient firestick that I've not used in I don't know how long. I've zero complaints. Hopefully tomorrow is the same.

This has to be the way forward for all companies that show football. Having the ability to watch all the games and not have to worry about getting a stream because BT and Sky don't show all the united matches.

Their interface and technology is second to none. Having the ability to pick your match & watch with all stats, no commentary option & missed highlights instantly available is the new standard going forward. It was a joy to watch tonight.

I'm all for having the access to watch all United matches, just not across three channels having to pay subscriptions for each.

I hope Amazon buy the rights for every possible game when they’re up for auction again. Feck Sky, they’ve had to eat humble pie the last few years after having the monopoly for decades.

I don’t mind BT, but I’d prefer if Amazon dominated everything, I would rather pay one subscription than 3!

Agree with this. Too many obstacles, less choice and too expensive to watch on BT and Sky.

This is the future.

We should be allowed to watch all games including 3 o'clock's exactly like this.

Able to watch all the goals, highlights, etc very shortly after they've happened on a platform like this.

feck Sky and BT. Old TV is exactly that, old.

Is there anything in the laws that ban 3pm games on TV that include streaming on the internet as this effectively is?

Only issue is them being behind score apps. Although good if you want to flick over to watch a goal.

Yeah and this is why I hate streaming. It’s bad for tennis also.

BBC have apparently figured out a way to eliminate that.

The World Cup on iPlayer in 4K was well behind as well. 4K must take longer to send?

That was annoying tonight getting goal notifications way beforehand.

what was the time difference?

the problem is that it’s not just the service provider, it’s defendant on your connection, bandwidth and your equipment. There are too many things out of the control of the provider.

It is the service provider.

Will there be a delay as I'm streaming?
Yes, unfortunately you're going to see things a short while after they actually happen, so if you don't prepare properly you might know about a goal before you see it hit the back of the net. This is normal with online streaming.
Analysts from streaming firm Phenix said Amazon's broadcast of the US Open was often up to 45 seconds behind the TV transmission.
The BBC has worked out how to eliminate streaming lag - but it could take years for that fix to be implemented.
So for the meantime, fans might have to avoid watching the games alongside Twitter updates, text messaging or BBC Sport goal alerts. Or even, gulp, put your phone down for 45 minutes.

I watched the city game at a friends house. He has a 500mb connection but quite often when the ball was moving at pace you seen 3 balls or shooting star effect. When it was a slower pass the ball stayed more solid.

Anyone else have thus issue?

It's probably a matter of seconds but a little annoying to know there's been a goal before seeing it on tv can't be helped and overall I was impressed

I don’t know why people use score apps anyway. Always annoying when someone gets a notification before a goal.
