Amazon Prime and Premier League Rights

Michael Brown and Stephen Warnock doing co comms, John Hartson and Mcmanaman doing punditry, they’ve pulled out all the stops today

Their coverage is far better than TNT. Thought Matt Upson was good on comms in the City game. Not as irritating to listen to as a lot of co-commentators.

Yeah, until they block that address for abusing their free trials.

Missing a trick by not letting you do a 4 way split screen for the games
Can you open multiple Prime channels on differents devices with one subscription ?

All well and good until they stop it. I really don't think most people need prime outside of 3 months of the year.

Is it true that you can't even watch the games on Irish Amazon Prime? I'm too lazy to move to the other room to check.

Amazon's PL coverage concludes tonight. Shame it's not TNT/BT.
If its anything like the way amazon run their other businesses, they'll do it very well until they start to exploit people and ruin industries. Imagine if they get exclusive rights to premier league football, they'll ban half time!

I think Amazon/Apple/Google will go big next time around. Thing with their business is the Sports is a gateway to sell other services and products.

As far as streaming is concerned, live sports is the future. That's what gets the streaming companies steady, consistent viewership. European football runs most of the year, so consumers will likely keep their subscription year-round. It's a cash cow revenue stream

Google have invested in node based streaming tech recently. It could overcome bandwidth issues like the Tyson & Paul fight had.
