Amad signs a new contract until 2030

So and this is not only related to Amad, any player in current roster in our case, if true that he was on 30k and now on 125k, people think its deserved for him/them to get 4x bigger wage, what he/they did or achieved to earn it exactly?! same goes if its investment for the future, specially with our track record post SAF. Seems we will never break a cycle.

I'm fully on board with your assessment. 125K is too much raise (4x) for contract extension of young player.
Even Amad has outstanding form in this season, but just half season can't guarantee that he'll be very sharp, and improve more and more every year.

Right now, Man United is at 13th in EPL, last won EPL decade ago, and has fought with big debt/PSR. Why should we award player too much too soon?
90-100K per week with bonus depends on club success is more than reasonable.

Yoro get like 110K-115K per week by spending 1 season in Ligue 1. Amad get 125K per week now. And, Mainoo is demanding high wage paid as well (200K per week if rumor is true)
On the other hand, you can see one of the best player in Chelsea and EPL, Cole palmer just extended contract long term with only 130K per week.
And you see some best players in Liverpool such as Luiz Diaz (55K per week) and Konate (70K per week) despite they won some big trophies in recent years.

It's set high wage base unnecessarily in my opinion. We can do that when we have healthy financial status and lot of success on the pitch which is not this period at all.
To provide reasonable wage base and clear high wage bill players are the best thing the club should do.
