Amad signs a new contract until 2030

Good news. Nice to know Amad will be a prominent player for us going forward after being misused by the previous manager.
 
Good wage that makes sense. If at 26/27 he turns out to be some crazy sort of superstar with 50 GA per season, he can have his 300k a week for a few years.
 
Hopefully he can keep the head down and keep his good form going. We know this club the last decade with certain players playing well to get a new and improved contract and then their form turning to shite.
 
Love it! He’s technically great, he runs for days, great at pressing, has match winning moments.

Feel like it’s a matter of time before it clicks off him.
 
Happy with that. Good long contract, reasonable wages by our standards, can play as a 10, winger, or wing back, and very hardworking.

He also seems to enjoy a relatively boring life compared to players his age. It’s a good thing.

I’m not bullish on his ceiling like many on here, but he’s already pretty good and will continue to improve.
 
The sort of player profile we need to stick with, and focus on buying. Solid character, hard worker, fit, fast and technically class. Buy a Diallo for each position and we’ll be in a much better state

125k is definitely more sensible if that's correct too. A deserved pay rise but also a chance to improve on his next contract without getting into silly territory if he keeps performing. Not to keep harping on about Rashford but we gave him 250k at 21 which was too much too soon and has contributed to the situation we're in now, so need a different approach.

Massive news for us as Amad is a proper player who doesn’t have an ego, puts in 100% every game, genuine quality and will only get better so it’s a throwback to when we’d buy potential quality and coach the player into fulfilling that potential.

It shows a lot too that we’ve given arguably our best player a contract on £125K a week after throwing ludicrous money at players that never deserved such riches, I’d expect us to now push on with the Mainoo deal and a similar amount.

He fought hard for this and deserves it.
We need more like him.
 
Great news.. Many of us predicted that he would thrive under Amorim, as his style fits perfectly with the new system. We also knew that Amorim would enjoy working with him not only because of his skill set but also his attitude. Now give home the number 10 shirt.
