Absolutely stunning goal...genius.
There's no way we are told to sit back and have no urgency from 45th minute mark of the game like that but perhaps he needs to get used to the tempo and the half arsed pressing team tactics..Or... you know he was told along with the rest of our team to sit back and stop pressing
This is a classic over-the-top caf reaction. Apart from one brilliant header, he showed nothing that would suggest he's even close to James, who has been a solid, albeit not brilliant performer.Pleased for him, lovely inside run and great imagination for the header.
he showed he was able to play at this level, I hope we trust and use him more. He’s no worse than James that’s for sure.
Let's be honest apart from the goal he didn't do anything, and while the goal was good it was helped by the keeper being in no mans land
I don’t think so? He made some great link passes and worked plenty hard. This is a classic over-the-top caf reaction. Apart from one brilliant header, he showed nothing that would suggest he's even close to James, who has been a solid, albeit not brilliant performer.
And as I said before, he's ready to contribute. But when we were several who said that here, Ole apparently knew more than us according to some. A manager can never be wrong, apparently. Amad is going places, if he is doing that at United I don't know because we are so poor as a unit sometimes. But he is going to be some player and he is ready now.
Let’s not get carried away, agree, but Inthink he showed more than the goal. He had some good basic runs and movements that we didn’t see before he came on.This is a classic over-the-top caf reaction. Is Ole wrong to keep playing Greenwood when he’s been by far our worst attacker this season? If he wasn’t playing Greenwood I’m sure you would be going mad about that too, maybe rightly so... he used Diallo very well. He got his goal and didn’t do much else. If he was on for the 90 would he have won us the game? On the evidence of that 45 ,even though he scored, probably not. What’s clear is we are in big trouble without Bruno. We should have a striker making those runs all night
That run in behind will be soon coached out of him soon and all he will do is ask the ball on his feet
It's very difficult for him to show his potential due to the negative mindset from our team. He just doesn't get enough touches due to our reactive approach, where we prioritize maintaining defensive stability, over attacking intent. It was another boring game, if I'm honest.
Where do you get the stats from, was wanting to look at this, not on Amad just can never find themSuper goal and showed some confidence. Completed 16 out of 19 passes. Would have liked to see him try to take on Milan defenders more often when he had the ball in the final third.

We're too risk averse in our approach which affects the attacking players, who have the opposition set in their defensive structure. The below tweet is reflective of our approach to games.they were well set every time we eventually got the ball forward. Way too slow in the buildup and timid in the press. The one time we made a positive run behind we score and then revert back to type. Argh.

Reality is not something that is taken into account with them. The injuries we have simply do not exist for this hot take! Not really baffling at all.
Unless he can think of two non-teenagers we could have played up front instead? Or how about a replacement for any of those three “defence minded midfielders”?

I think a different manager could well have shown more attacking intent to get a second goal. Is that fair to assume? Not really baffling at all.

I would agree . I thought he was vsry tidy considering how little first team football he has actually played and how Young he is. Very positive signs but lets not get carried away his time will comeVery harsh those saying he did nothing other than the goal. I thought he was extremely tidy on the ball. If you’ve watched him in the reserves you’d know one of his best assets is his decision making and whilst he is capable of skilful solo stuff, he does so at exactly the right time. He has a football brain years ahead of his body.
Very good performance IMO.

Drop Bruno next to Matic or McTominay and bring Diallo on in the #10 role. Show some intent to get the second goal playing at home.
