Alphonso Davies | Verbally agreed to join Real Madrid

Glad he's staying. Saw we were one of the linked clubs but it would be annoying constantly hearing that he turned us down to join Liverpool.
 
I'm starting to get whiplash here. Yesterday Sky reported that Davies' agent actually increased their demand, wanting more than €20m per year, and that that the two sides were further apart than ever. Today Ornstein reports that they are close to a deal?

I'm inclined to believe the latter, especially since Sky recently also reported a Bayern deal with Nkunku being close, club and player already having agreed a deal, shortly before Bayern's Freund went on record stating that nothing at all was going on with Nkunku and they did not plan to get in anybody this window at all.
