Attention managers.

Everyone needs to have their tactics and write up turned in by Sunday.

No matches will be played later than Thursday next week. Choose a day with your opponent. If you can't agree on a day in the time frame, your match will be assigned on one of the days that is least busy.

I'll be leaving for England on monday, so hopefully @Edgar Allan Pillow @Aldo @Annahnomoss can set matches up while I'm gone. I'll be checking in when I can.

Match Schedule

Skizzo - Tuppet

Friday

Saturday:
Berbasloth4 - Cutch

When people where coming to the end with united players im surprised no one picked lee sharpe. He often kept giggs out of the side or made him play from right or in the middle..

I actually mentioned him to a couple of managers and they opted not to. Odd, definitely one of the best wide players in the draft and very versatile as well.

Jamie Redknapp surely did enough to be picked I believe, and even Scott Parker for that matter, I've always thought he was overrated when he won that award but disregarding that he was still a good player for a while.

Among those who wanted wingers - Jason Wilcox and Stuart Ripley from that Rovers team and Rooney's hero Anders Limpar.

The last five years have been a goldmine for creative midfielders, which is probably why a lot of good names from earlier missed out.

@Marty1968 when is best for you? I'd prefer Monday onwards if that's okay. Got a wedding to go to this weekend which will take me out of action for a few days.

Nolberto Solano? Up and down the flank for years, one of the names I was alluding to when talking about that early 00s Geordie team. The Turkish bloke Emre was a handful on his day.

Then you have the English lads, if someone fancies homegrown names - Paul Merson, David Platt, Paul Gascoigne and the likes.

Guys if I nominate schwarzer for example as a fulham player in the next round if I want to fulham players can I change him to Middlesbrough??

Eyal Berkovic and Roberto Di Matteo were also a couple of misses IMO, for those who needed creative midfielders.
Thought about Berkovic, didn't know how highly he was rated outside of Israel. I don't know if it's known, but this guy is a massive twat.

Also Surprised no one took Benayoun. Kind of Liverpool's Park-Ji and he was a very very good player at his prime.

I think so, as long as you have 11 outfield players who qualify for 11 different clubs. Just make sure you've got on the teamsheet Schwarzer(FLH) or Schwarzer(MDL)

The wingers I was most baffled about, particularly with some teams primed for four-man midfields having wide players who are more inside forwardy.

I thought I was clear enough when I said there were literally many top top midfielders knocking about. :smirk:

Scott Parker did miles more than Fernandinho ever did.

Ben Haim is another Israeli I thought might have been picked over one or two of the centre backs who went.

Benayoun isn't a bad shout, but better players went unpicked.

I didn't know Berkovic was a twat, puts this in a different light now:

Meh, I always seen him as a fool who just works hard. Fairly poor CB if you ask me in terms of this draft.

Yeah, he's a giant twat. Worst pundit in Israel(and it's an extremely tough competition), goes around "managing" teams in Israel and than abandons ship when he fecks it. But he's got plenty of connections and it's all about connections around there.
