All time ODI Draft

For all the qualities Dravid had, he wasn't a "great" one day batsmen by any stretch of imagination.

I feel people are rating the likes of Dravid, Imran Khan etc more by their test records rather than ODI.

We've moved past "great" in round 2. Once you get past Sangakkara, Dhoni and Gilchrist he comes automatically into reckoning. And you are underrating his ODI impact. The stats speak for themselves and during his later career peak, he was one of the best in ODIs too.

@Varun not interested in arguing about it

Whoever thinks Dravid is not a great pick at this stage is joking. He is >>>>> Stewart

How am I underrating his record when you have essentially agreed that he wasn't a one day great?

Anil Kumble.

Updated for y'all.

I have a quick question as I'm not too familiar for drafts.

Do we take into account things like injury? So for example, say there was a player who played from 1991-1999 for the national team, and he missed 2 years in that spell due to injury. Does that come into account or is it solely his playing ability when he was playing? Thanks.

Drafts are usually argued based on peak performance. If you can argue that he had a sustained peak before/after the injury, then it should be OK to consider as his performance metric.

"In this competition, players are considered at the level when they were in their prime."

If your player's prime was on a recovery table then we consider that.

No usually the peak performances are counted.

Obviously, that's why there should be one person arguing against another. A team who has two managers will obviously have an advantage as compared to a solo manager. If I'm not wrong, then I think this two people arguing against one is banned football drafts.

This is an implied rule. I think it's better if made explicit here too. @Physiocrat can we make it specific that only the manager or the AM can argue at the same time?

Another thing I'd add is Kumble wasn't known to turn the ball as much as the big 3, but he probably had the best accuracy. Consistency and pace.

It's easier to be more accurate and consistent with your line when you're not spinning the ball.

Playing Cookie clicker. Will pick in a few. Ok, I am not, but will take a few mins :P

Only 3 specialist spinners picked so far aside from Kumble. No one is arguing that murali, warne and saqlain are not better than Kumble, but Kumble is the best of the rest for sure:) or do you think boom boom is a better spinner?
