My favourite part of the write up was Paolo Nutini. Easily the best Scottish singer in the draft.
Jesus christ Jake, you are facing a side with Zidane, Scholes, Savicevic, Kubala and Souness. Law shouldn't be playing ahead of Deschamps, there won't be enough balls for one centreforward, let alone two. Alternatively scrap your wingers and play a diamond with him and Deco, but going into it like this is suicidal.
I might do that actually.
Due to stobzillas creative threat, I've decided to pack the midfield, to try and stop Scholes, and particularly Zidane from having too much time on the ball, my two wingers will step out of the fray, and Deco and Deschamps will come in, Deschamps is a warrior, who will strike fear into any offensive players, amassing 103 caps for France, carrying his team to the 1998 world cup final, where he played a huge role in bringing the trophy home. Deco, on the other hand, will be able to slice open a team that although great technically, doesn't seem to have the gile, determination, or winning experience to deal with his, along with Giles and Peters, all round technique.

Nah, it's criminal to spend two weeks drafting and writing up player profiles and then find someone randomly posted some teamsheet you were mulling over and you lost based on that.
In future rounds though, teams do go into the game, as scheduled, with whatever they submitted for their last game. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Well mightberight's specifically said he can't get things sorted today so we can't just use his formation, perhaps we'll move that match to another day if Dan's agreeable. You can do that for Jake and Stobzilla's game and we could just go ahead with their game today.

Player profiles
GK- Gordon Banks- This legendary English goalkeeper was awarded the Fifa Goalkeeper of the Year six times(1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971). RB- Djalma Santos- He is a former Brazilian footballer who started for the Brazil national team in four World Cups, winning two, in 1958 and 1962. Santos is considered to be one of the greatest right-backs of all time. While primarily known for his defensive skills, he often ventured upfield and displayed some impressive attacking skills. He’s only the second player along with Beckenbaur to be named in three different world cup all star teams. That should be enough evidence of his legacy.
CB- Scirea- Gaetano was an elegant defender, blessed by his god-given ability to intelligently read the offense, anticipate play, and then quickly start a counter-attack by pushing forward whether dribbling like a striker or passing out wide to a midfielder. DM- Matthias Sammer
Known for his great composure on the ball and box to box midfielder, Matthias Sammer was one of the few players from East Germany to make a real impact on the German national team after reunification. Sammer was voted European Footballer of the Year in 1996, the year he won the European Championship with Germany.

Was voted as 17th in IFFHS Best player of 20th century.
Tommy Docherty, the hard-tackling wing-half who marked Schiaffino when Uruguay thrashed Scotland 7-0 in the 1954 World Cup in Basle, called him the greatest player he had ever faced.
