Thought it was worthwhile getting that bid in early so it wouldn't be long before the minimum raise became 35 and then ultimately 40. Aware obviously that in the last auction draft there were plenty of top strikers getting grabbed for 10-15m, but equally paying 30m for the standout goalscorer in the draft is good business (relative to Law and Charles IMO).Ssssh! I wondered if Gio was about to top himself for possibly overspending with that opening bid. Issue is, by now it would take a 40M offer, or I think that´s how it works.
Means he can only spend 10m each on remaining 9 players required. He did the same in first auction draft and was close to winning the whole thing. This is getting exciting between annah and crappy. Annah would have spent 210m on 3 players if this bid goes through
He lost to MJJ in semis, who had a United heavy team and tiki taka had just taken a battering with Real mauling Bayern. Otherwise he did seem set to win the whole thing indeed.I think Annah did similar in the last auction, Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets for 210m iirc. Worked out ok, didn't he win that draft?

Great strategy then. Just curious though, say hypothetically that you don't have enough cash for the last 2 snake rounds but your team isn't complete. Do you get the last spot on the snake rounds or what happens?
I imagine he'll play them both.
Would imagine so, yes. Snake is snake - no cash required. As I read it anyway. You can use your cash to move up in the draft order - but it's not necessary to spend anything.
I already explained this you need 10m to enter the snake round.. each time.. that is 20m for two of them minimum.Great strategy then. Only will be shafted out wide which will not please manyI imagine he'll play them both.

Or you can use 300m to buy 12 players in auction
I'm really interested to see what @MJJ does with Dalglish and Charlton.

Obviously. :P
I don't see how you fit them both into their best positions though.

That's good to know.
I apologized per PM to crappy! Just haph him pens to be that we rate the same players in this draft. He gave me Stanley>I couldn't bid on Best until that bid was gone>I bid on Best=I couldn't bid on Blanch until Best was gone.
I feel really shit for it though to be frank even if I know it is nothing personal. Was the same in the last draft where whoever wanted the Barca trio - well I would inevitably overpay massively for them.

What would happen if someone, lets say, @Annahnomoss , splunks all his money before the snake draft rounds and hasn't gotten all his players yet?
He will be disqualified and someone will get a walk over.
Read above. I corrected itIsn't that the same as overbidding which has a 5m penalty?
It would be known when he overbids initially. Ideally that player should be sent back to pool with $0 and bidding to start again.
Read above. I corrected it
Maybe a Christmas tree formation with Dalglish and Charlton behind a lone striker?
Appreciate if you could clarify on the relaxation of 1 player nomination rules in later stages. As in example above if manager A just needs 9x10m players, then he should be able to nominate one more 10m player.
Yeap, Annah for example is already out of running for major bids.. someone like MJJ is unlikely to get into big bids as wellThe unsold ones will start piling up soon enough, no doubt. And the further out in the draft we get, the less money around in general, hence less competition even for a 10m bid.
Welcome aboard Jimmy. Speaking of which, did anyone play Saint & Greavsie on the old Atari ST/Amiga?
