In fairness I didn't intend to bid, look at the time, I didn't even get to edit that. I saw SirAF's post and bid on Keane again. Different case than Raees who openly bid.

Moderator Ruling

Let this be first and final warning/let off for everyone. I emphasized checking the rules before bidding. Read this again -

At no point the total cost of the squad and amount used to bid for players should exceed 300m. Any bid that result in such a violation will be deemed invalid and the player will be docked 5m from his budget

Don't use the funds you do not have. Next time someone crosses the 300m barrier, 5 m deduction will take place and any bids affected will be cancelled.

I agree actually though the Prem draft you talk about allowed foreign players. In any case, I don't have a problem scraping foreign players if others agree with it.

Please keep this rule in mind before making future bids

  • A minimum of 2m increments are required for new bids for first 4 hours from current bid time of a player. From 4-10 hours it is 5m minimum increment. For last 2 hours a minimum of 10m increment.
This means any bids on Edwards will have to for or more than 5m.
Same for Bobby Charlton

Thought he played centrally as well but I think you are right in that he was a left half. In the 62 FA Cup Final he kind of interchanges between left and centrally. Sometimes defending/staying centrally and sometimes playing as a regular left back.

I think with 12 managers it's going to be tight enough to ensure quality across the board. But mainly for me it's about the spirit of the draft and the spirit is about British and Irish players. It's a bit like the 50s draft where it was a single decade with players most hadn't seen, but it worked really well without any wild-card style additions to boost the pool.

Half, yes - wing half, left half, etc. More of a midfielder in modern parlance - a defensive midfielder of sorts.

Famous as a hard man too. Comparable to Keano in that sense - tough player, but clearly not a brute in terms of skills.
