All ticket/travel information thread - 2024/25 edition - Ticket Purchasing FAQ in OP. Please read it and be careful purchasing tickets

Serious you can get tickets for 3 sheets outside the ground ???

Touts online are asking for £560 minimum I’d take £300 my heads gone at the moment
No idea tbh mate, I have never bought off a tout but around the ground closer to kick off is bound to be cheaper than online surely?

Frankly if anyone wants to pay £560 they can have one of mine and I'll thank them by using that £560 to pay for Prague, City, Liverpool, Spurs & Arsenal again. Mental bastards.

Still got a couple of spares for the Forest game, £82 for the pair.

Are you sure they are just screenshots?

Have these been officially forwarded to you? Are you a member?
Yes. Screenshots of the ticket with the QR code. I’m not a member anymore no. I cancelled it last season. Silly way to get tickets i know. My work colleague friend said he can get me two and i couldn’t refuse. My colleague also says he goes all the time with screenshots but unsure.

Hi,

Need some advice, i’m a little worried. I purchased two tickets to Utd vs Forest.

These tickets were from a friend of a ST holder.

The tickets already has a QR code. Is this an issue? The tickets were just screenshots.

Doesn’t make sense as the QR code is only available 3 hours before KO.

Also you can’t screenshot. There’s a block on the app. You could take a picture of the phone, I know a mate who’s got in that way.

Urgh, thanks for your help! My mate says he’s used this specific ST holder so i’m just confused haha

This has only taken place this season. Previous seasons screenshots of the season ticket were doable. So your mate’s experience I imagine was this?

A lad in front of me in the queue v Everton got pulled to the side with a screenshot. His mate who was sharing his partners ticket was already inside.

They wouldn’t let him in and he was losing his shit. I really want to know what the final outcome was.

Did you buy this online or through a contact ? If it’s online it could be a scam.

Your tickets might work but it's not the norm at the moment as screenshots were phased out by the new app for most this season

But IIRC someone else here mentioned that nonmembers who buy tickets (and you have to pay £10 extra) still get an old style QR code ticket in advance - not something I've tested myself though

Screenshots won’t work but a photograph of the screen will work.

You can also manually set the time of your phone to allow the QR code to show up on the app at any time

Not sure if this helps with the conundrum being discussed but there are ways around the ticketing process

Always will be too

Heard that if rather than screenshotting from the app, if you put it in your Apple/Google wallet and screenshot that it works fine.

Not tried it myself

Yeah possibly although I wasn’t aware that you could still add them to your wallet.

Like I said, there is ways around it and always will be

The latter point here is true. If you have a forwarding only membership you will have the old QR code. My Gf has had it twice.

You cannot put tickets in your wallet anymore. Only if you have a FORWARDING ONLY membership.

Standard members cannot.

Ye I think that is the exception to the new app rules that causes confusion - it's probably an oversight from the ticket office rather than by design

Have a ticket for the Nottingham game on the weekend but can't attend. Can't legally transfer also since I'm not a ST holder. What are my options?

Either take a picture from another phone of the barcode and send it on or sell it and the 2 of you will have to create an app ticketing relationship so he can see the ticket on his side

I had selected the Flexi ticket anticipating this scenario. It said that the tickets can be cancelled or changed till 12 PM the day before the match. Not sure why I can't see any option to give the ticket back.

Edit: Called the ticket office. Got sorted.

W209 for sale for Saturday. Member transfer. FV is £16 then there is the £26 upgrade fee as well to transfer to an adult.

There’s a few rumours online that taking a picture of a barcode and scanning in will allow entry and but will flash white. The ST holder will then get a 1 season ban.

Who is supposedly spotting this!? And how would they implement that.

Not buying it tbh.

This £66 ticking pricing is proving to be a huge PR disaster, I’ve never seen so many tickets for sale the day before a premiership game. Not only that, I can never remember a premiership league game going on open sale.
I notice in January we play Southampton and it’s a midweek game. Good luck with that one Sir Jim.

You should be able to do what you want with your ticket. Same way you should be able to buy two tickets as a member and take who you want to the game.

The ticketing system is the worst it’s ever been. Between the drops where you’re thrown into a queue with 60,000 people , no more collections at European aways and now the £66 tickets they’re just making it more and more difficult for us to attend games on a regular basis .

I think Andy Mitten’s interview with SJR is been released tomorrow not that I’m expecting a U-turn or anything.

I pass my ticket on by screen recording for 20 seconds and sending the video. Not sure if this would bypass the detection, but it is just a mirror image of my phone that way. It's quite easy to do with android using a little tweak and also lets you screen shot from the app using the same method.

It wouldn’t be spotting , it would be picked up by the scanner . Very easy to do to be honest.

Hope you don't think posting random unverified rumours from Twitter is any kind of source of value!

Almost certainly nonsense

Yeah it's nonsense. Utd would announce a clampdown if there was one, they aren't exactly shy.

It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest, this happened only last Sunday

That's different. If you aren't careful a steward can flag you, just bad luck.

Anyway arguing over nothing here really.

I miss the old ticketing system. It's only just a few years ago. No one was complaining. Covid really screwed us over. That was the start of all this digital nonsense.

Hopefully this continues so they have to re-think the ridiculous pricing. £66 for an adult is bad enough, but to have to pay that to take my 5 year old is nonsense.

Rubbish to see OT not full but worth it if they realise they can’t take the piss this much.

The problem with this attitude is that there is and always will be a big enough proportion of the fan base who will pay £66 and above for tickets.

A lad who I know woke up last weekend and decided that the right thing to do was pay £150 each for 2 tickets for the Everton game on a whim. Both bought through the club and official tickets.
