All ticket/travel information thread - 2024/25 edition - Ticket Purchasing FAQ in OP. Please read it and be careful purchasing tickets

Hello all - Question. Have you ever gone to a game with the opposition fans? I can get tickets to the Pilzen game but in the home end. Apparently its impossible to get United tickets. My in laws are 40 mins from Pilzen so its ideal for me and my son. What's it like though? Frustrating trying to keep quiet? Will the locals realize and get pissed off?

I'd have thought for that game in particular unless you are in the Ultras section it will be very relaxed. Many of the locals will be casual fans wanting to see Utd.

Also just use a bit of common sense, don’t wear United colours , don’t act like a dick head and be polite to those around you ,
I’ve been in the away end in the Kop , City , Spurs and Villa, very hard to remain impartial but don’t celebrate wildly in the unlikely event that we score.
I was in the main stand at Villa with 3 mates , Scholes scored that goal , and I couldn’t stay quiet , but most of the Villa fans round us just applauded

It's a horrible experience being sat with the other team. I've been there and done it. You can't enjoy the game at all. Unless it's Fulham as they don't care

Last time I did it was at Brentford for the 4-0 defeat in ETH's 2nd game. Managed not to reveal I was supporting United but felt thoroughly humiliated. I think that's put me off doing it ever again. Even if we score, you can't really celebrate. Have concluded it's better just to watch it on the TV.

My dad does it every year. He’s a big Liverpool fan and I bring him to the United Liverpool game every year haha.

I went in the home end vs West Ham a few years back when they missed a last minute penalty and we won. Minute I got in the ground the lad next to me started asking loads of questions and obviously couldn't hide my accent so asked me outright if I was a United fan. Told him I was a Bury fan and just down for work and fancied watching a game.

Was ok after that tbf, but the last minute penalty was a bit awkward.

As unlikely as it is, me and the lad (6) are looking for Newcastle tickets. Wasn’t available on the original date but are now they’ve moved it.

Both members

Looking for three tickets for the Newcastle game on Dec 30th for my son’s birthday. Would have to be together as my boys are only 8&7. All members. Just DM me if any are available. Thanks

You received loads of advice on this last week politely explaining why this is not possible

Bro there is no harm in asking, if there is a slight possibility that last minute due to emergency somebody may not make it. I will take my chances.

You are right in that I don't own this thread - can do what you like, just tried to give you some context but clearly you ain't arsed.

Hopefully you don't get one :).

How many times do you want to ask? You've posted about ten times in this chat in your life and most of them were asking for an Arsenal ticket. From reading the others you paid circa £150 for your Everton ticket, double it and you'll get an Arsenal around the ground tomorrow.

Hi Reds!

I have two tickets for the Forrest game, these were forwarded on as screenshots from the season ticket holder.

Long story short, i’m no longer able to attend.

I want to get rid of these tickets having purchased them from a friend of a friend.

Having thought about it, would screenshot tickets even allow me into the ground this season? I don’t want to try re-accumulate the cost and ruin someone elses day if they cant get it.

Any advice is helpful, dreadful plan from me from the get go. Won’t be doing it this way next time haha.

You can't get away with screenshots anymore

You can if you take an actual photo of the QR code on the screen with another phone and then send that. this worked on Sunday for a few people. He managed to get into OT with it, but Hotel Football turned him away post match as he didn't have a valid match ticket

Do people go for beers in Hotel Football after the match? And do you need a match ticket to get in?

Thank you so much both for replying. Both of my tickets have the QR codes already. I assume this is because they’re from season ticket holders. Am i right in saying usually you get the QR code a couple hours before the game with general admission tickets? No worries if unsure i’m just awfully confused

Have the Glazers bought that now?!

That definitely happens with tickets that have been officially transferred from a ST holder, yes.

Is anyone aware of any tickets becoming available for Pilzen via the returned tickets ballot?

I’m still hoping!

Are you sure they are just screenshots?

Have these been officially forwarded to you? Are you a member?

Ahh, so i should be okay if i want to pass these to someone? As my ticket already has the QR code? All be it a screen shot of the ticket haha

I believe there is a workaround for that in that you can amend the date and time on your phone to 3 hours before the game and that generates the code which you then take a picture of with another phone. I get mine forwarded via membership number so not something I've needed to deal with, but it worked as of the weekend as a few people I know used that method.

Not too bad if it's between mates, but if you've sorted a random with it they may be a little more nervous.

He was meeting some of his mates in there, and when they saw the screenshotted ticket they asked him how he got into OT with that, he said it was a forwarded one from his mate and they said "you didn't go to the game, you're not coming in" and turned him away. I suppose it's so they don't get away fans in there causing bother.

Serious you can get tickets for 3 sheets outside the ground ???

Touts online are asking for £560 minimum I’d take £300 my heads gone at the moment

Just think I sold my Arsenal away ticket for the princely sum of £30, admittedly it was to a friend, because of the stupid kick off time I couldnt get a train back , hopefully my good deed will reap rewards in a future away

Is the website Ticombo reliable? I see cheapest tickets being available for 250 pounds. If anybody had experience of buying from there please share.

Ya it’s decent after the game for a few beers if you’re in no rush. Downstairs is over 18’s and if you’re with family or kids you can go to the upstairs bar (it’s more family orientated)
You need proof of attending the game to go in.
