All ticket/travel information thread - 2024/25 edition - Please be careful purchasing tickets

Is the Liverpool PL game postponed now because we got Liverpool in the cup?

We saw 3 come up and managed to get 1, but unfortunately we needed 2. Long story short, I'm now at home and my friends are on their way to Nottingham!
Nightmare!

I thought I’d try my luck refreshing the page here and there on Tuesday morning … at around midday one magically popped up and I somehow beat the bots to it.

Great evening last night - even with a patchy performance - you just can’t beat a last minute winner!

Morning - can members tickets be upgraded? Have a Seniors ticket but the fella who wants it is an adult - I know the dopey sods at the turnstiles barely bat an eyelid but nonetheless

extremely long shot - but looking for a single for Liverpool in cup, looking to take my son to his first game against them lot.

Has to be in W15 or W16 - have bought on here before

Can anyone help with some info on tickets V Burnley at the end of April.
Im hoping to get my son down for his first game. I had a look this morning on the ticketing website but only showing hospitality type of seats after waiting in a queue for ages.

Does anybody have any idea what implications these new ticketing policies are likely to have on a season ticket holder??

Hearing all sorts of rumours that the ticket can now only be downloaded from the United app and that some new QR code will change every few minutes meaning screenshots won’t work anymore.

If I forward my ticket to another member, does that count as it being ‘used’?

What ideas are people coming up with to get around this new planned technology?

Yes I heard from Man Utd customer support this change is happening.

It's to combat fake tickets, like people overseas spending thousands on trips and tickets and discovering they are fake when they arrive.

I assuming forwarding tickets will still be possible.

All these new ideas are a big pain in the proverbial arse, designed solely as a way of selling more memberships, and reducing the amount of season ticket holders. We have all seen the scandalous prices they are now charging for exec packages in East T2 where a standard ticket is £39 or £49 for a member, certain games are up to £450 up there. They say the aim is to get rid of touts but proves that the biggest touts out there are United themselves.
Next season you will still be able to forward on your tickets to other members but won’t be able to WhatsApp a screenshot to a mate.
This season I have sent certain mates the season ticket to use but you can only do that with people you trust.
I can see massive queues happening next season and God forbid if the WiFi fails outside the ground, currently the WiFi is good, a massive improvement but we still have the United affect whereby if it can go tits up it will go tits up.

Not sure what stadium you’ve been going to but the WiFi from my experience is fecking awful

none of the new steps will stop that.

whilst people are still stupid enough to pay exorbitant amounts for a ticket from a tout, they will never do anything to solve touting

these new steps doing nothing but make it more difficult for decent fans Trying to help decent fans

Highly unlikely but what if you don't have a smart phone? Must a few who are still rocking some old school Nokia or a basic phone.

As for having to use the app to download the ticket, it's a single point of failure, if the app goes down, no one is getting in so I doubt they will do that.

I was thinking they were going to stick our photos on there instead.

Shouldn’t give them any ideas, but just waiting for the day when forwarding to a member no long counts as attending.
Same here. Would massively screw me over and many others I suspect.

Do you mean this is an issue for season ticket holders? Doesn't apply to me but I see what you mean if it could impact getting season ticket the following year.

I am visiting England in 2 weeks from USA.

Any chance of 2 tickets for United vs Liverpool? Tried buying hospitality packages but they said I had to have registered for tickets prior to the draw, which I obviously didn't.

It's probably not a good idea to buy from Ticketmaster etc right?

Would be my first trip to Old Trafford.

If you're looking to drop stupid money on hospitality tickets you can just buy from United direct, I can't see it saying needing to have registered before the draw etc - Tickets for Manchester United v Liverpool (FA Cup): Man United Tickets (manutd.com)

If you're a member you can apply in the ballot as that's open until 7 March. Otherwise you're stuck really unless you want to pay a tout which I wouldn't recommend but they're all cnuts.

It's just sad how United are becoming the biggest touts of all. Those 'hospitality' packages are getting more and more ridiculous. I liked the way ticket sales operated before Covid. My brother who's just an official member always got a good number of games. Now he almost has no chance. How they think the current system is better is baffling to me.

Yeah at the moment forwarding to a member counts as attendance, so in theory you don't really need to attend in person at all, should you wish. That's obviously an extreme example, but say for instance the club decide to put in place that season ticket holders need to attend 15/19 home games in person, that would cause a lot of problems.

It said that after I selected the package and everything.

Applying in the ballot basically means the tickets could be at any level right?

Ah right got you. And yes, ballot will pretty much give you any normal prices ticket - not hosp.

If you have attended or forwarded LMT for all games to date, what’s the ‘threshold’ game for renewal next season.
Is it Everton? Thought it might have been Sheff Utd, but that’s gone out the window.

Failing Everton, it would be the scum on the 7th April as the next league game.

Have a spare for Everton this weekend, n2402. Members only. £40

Anyone got a pair for Everton this weekend? Hola at me.

I think it's 14 home games and Everton is the 14th

sound. Just got the below from the Club.
14 is the number, and Everton is the 14th game.

Does this count towards my ticket usage?

Using one of the options above will count towards your ticket usage, which is a minimum of 14 out of 19 Premier League games during the 2023/24 season.

I've always been curious as to whether they will change this. You could in theory refund / forward every game or cherry-pick and attend the big games. And it still counts towards ticket usage? There must be little to no chance of a member getting a season ticket with this policy as there's little incentive for STHs to give theirs up.

I think it's more about filling the seats than getting anyone to give theirs up. Previously, you could just ignore games, but now you have to make an effort to get the ticket to someone else. People who would retain tickets with the old system of no threshold surely won't be giving it up now.

Any spares for Everton in Stretford End ? Got a membership for the transfer.

I'm still after Everton tickets too. Looking for a pair.

They do keep dropping on the website but seemingly mainly in singles.

I hate our ticketing system so much, farcical.

Yeah loads of normal priced tickets available right now for Saturday, but all singles. Not a pair in sight. I did the best I could.
On a side note, I can't recall the last time I saw this many available so close to a game. Early kick off? Or fans voting with their feet?

Been able to get a ticket in the run up to most games this season. Always more as the game approaches as that's when people make last minute decisions to not bother. These tickets then stay on longer as its only people who live local or can make a last minute travel decision who will buy them.

I'm yet to come across a pair in a couple of years. The only way I ever get two together is off mates or on here.

Any possible reschedule date for the home game against Sheffield United? I guessing it will have to be played midweek now

And if we beat Liverpool, then the Newcastle game will need moving as well. Schedule's gonna look like we're in Europe with the midweek games.
