All ticket/travel information thread - 2009/10: Touting will not be tolerated

I'm in the Family stand for Arsenal, first time. I'm hoping an evening kick off, big match, the atmosphere should be alright. Anyone been in there, for a big game maybe, and can comment on what it's like?

Also, does anyone know the best way to get from Old Trafford, an hour or so after the match, to the Airport? Suspect I'll have to get a taxi but would rather something cheaper.

I sat in there for Barcelona a couple of season's ago.

You get a good view of the stretty from there and the atmosphere is okay.

Obvioulsy there ill be children in there so you have to watch the expletives!

Any idea how I can get hold of tickets for the City game? I'll be in London for work that week and I'm holding off flight arrangements to try squeeze it in.

Viagogo doesn't seem to have any and elsewhere I haven't found any for less than 180 quid!

Just managed to get on to my online booking history for the first time in about a month as I wanted to check the Spurs ballot results!! However, it is not showing any history for any tickets other than the Valencia friendly that I bought - does this history only show for tickets that you successfully applied and anything that you were not successful for in ballots does not show up?? Only reason I ask is that I applied for Wigan and Burnley and expected them to show up as being chubbed but still on my application history??

Anyone have any ideas WTF is going on?? Also, has anyone got there Spurs ballot results back yet?? I am in the middle of the Yprkshire Dales and it would appear that mobile phone reception is a thing of the future here so cannot phone the ticketline??

Very frustrated!!!

Yep - me too!!! Literally as I typed my post earlier on here, I got an e-mail saying thanks, but computer says No!!!

Shame, really wanted that too!

It only shows tickets you have bought.

I got the chubbing email as well just to rub salt in the wounds.

Nothing for me. Excluding finals, in over 3 years, the only away i have had is Fulham in the FA Cup last season.

I must have applied for over 90% of away games.

I still haven't got an email/letter confirming "chubbing". Does that mean i still have a chance of getting seats? Tickets don't show up on the website.

Call them...

PS if you can't go, can I have them?

:D

wow, thats bad i have had about 10 in 3 years excluding finals by applying for all, guess what my only league game was last year, liverpool, how the hell do you only get liverpool?

I don't think you qualify for aways if you opt out of the carling cup? correct me if i'm wrong. it seems that you are otherwise why would you even be able to apply.

All 3 group stage Euro aways, If I get them, and cant go, will be for sale.

Last season you could not apply for aways if you did not opt into the CC but might have changed this season - hope not though cos it only increases the number of applications to go ahead of me!!!

I am the same as Boothy - will be applying for all the CL group stages away from home but doubt I can go to any so if anyone want them, watch this space and I'll let y'all know how my applications go

I have 2 tickets in E236 East Upper Tier 1 for Wolfsberg, CSKA & Besiktas.

Face value is £36 per ticket.

Willing to let them go a bit cheaper as these games probably wont sell out.

PM Me.

Have to give credit to Sultan he sorted me out with another ticket for tomorrows game... Top Man LOL

Carling Cup v Wolves

2 together in Stretford End upper - £70

2 concessions together in North Stand Tier 1 - £40

Obviously if dear old Malcolm reduces the prices for these games, that will be passed on, but there's fat chance that'll happen. :(

Although be warned that sometimes the club checks that names on tickets match names on passports.

This is hype to put people off!!! I have only ever attended a United European away game with a ticket bought on my ST and never have they been checked. I have also sold several away European tickets and they have never had any issues with getting in.

Don't let this put you off, it is complete bollocks

Erm.... not so fast.

United have a policy of making tickets for certain Euro aways "pick up", especially in the group stages. They do this to ensure that those who get the loyalty credits actually attend the matches. In the last two years, United have done this for Lisbon, Kiev, Aalborg and Rome (twice). If your passport doesn't match the name on your ticket, you can't pick it up.

Obviously this doesn't happen for every match, but it is worth bearing in mind when working out plans for the group stage matches.

If, in the current climate where season tickets were available into the season, if someone wanted to change the name of one of their season tickets, how do you think that would be greeted Ralphie?

Might I be a first to ask for a PM if that be the case. ;)
