Why would a spanish radio sports show in US have details about this transfer?

me thinks they read the sun and believed it to be true.
cocks on stand-by

Telegraph also reporting that Gill met the Udinese president which makes it clear that we're interested in him.

Let's see what happens this time, but all those thought that we aren't interested in him because they can't see us spending the certain amount are looking like right dicks right now.

I have no idea who this guy is, i've never seen him play and from what i've read, we dont need him as he's a winger; so why is the muppet in me telling me to get my cock out?

It's surprising nevertheless if we land up Sanchez. Wonder how will we line-up!

But then so is sneijder. Ok, i havent seen this boy play, but from what I gather, we dont need him  particularly with Young coming in.

One things for sure, we'd have the best wingers in the league by far; definitely rival Madrid's

Why i think all the UK newspapers may be taking italian sources as their main proof that gill was there in the meeting with udinese. If thats the case then i am sure we are not interested..

Just read this on a different forum

This is apparently a done deal, gents. I have a trusted friend inside Old Trafford who has never once given me incorrect transfer news in the past decade, and he told me an hour ago that Sanchez is signing for Manchester United. He has always been right and his information is always from deep within club management, so I have absolutely no doubt he's correct... he always is in what he tells me.

He also says that several sales are about to happen, and that the Under 21's are the hold up, because of a couple other moves that don't involve United, but involve other clubs we are selling to.

Personally, I am very happy with this move and I was excited to get the email, because he's always right... he told me about Berba coming days before the deadline day drama, and he told me about other things like Roy Keane retiring, etc.

I asked him why another winger and he said that Sir Alex is pushing 2 different midfield deals in Italy, with 1 being the target. Apparently some at the club are resisting the money splash out and really pushing for sales "before tendering any real offer" for a top midfielder.

Finally, he said there is a real clash of personalities with Sneijder (and his people) and United and that he thinks the two will simply never mix, because of that fact, but that Sir Alex still wants him even though he is in the minority on it. Specifically, he told me that Manchester is the issue with Sneijder and his people and that multiple insults were brazenly uttered about the climate and town in a phone call.

Again, he's always been dead on accurate and I have no reason to think he isn't here. His info is often first hand obtained.

Obviously, I can give no more source info than that, but I thought you'd be interested to hear this. I just wish Sneijder wasn't a problem fit.

so we are going give mid-field (as in central and not just attacking mid-field), a complete go-by and just play wingers?

or we going to get some from the reserves?

Yup!

A.Young - Sanchez

Nani - Giggs - Park - Valencia

With the Twins at FB it'll be like having 8 wingers!

oh cool, like the 7 defenders we started off with against Arsenal in the FA Cup

If this happens, I'm guessing Berba is off!

But KM all those posters said we weren't in for him, and called us muppets and said we have no money and told us to get real and said the Glazers and so on and so forth, how could they have been wrong, they seemed so certain from their lofty perches.

And well.....Nani. Both have probably had their best seasons, so their prices are at their peak I guess.

Not sure about that, Sanchez had his best season at the position just behind the striker for Udinese, so I'm guessing he'll play there only. I don't think Nani will be sold tbh.

The funny thing is all these idiots while pretending to hate ITK's and themselves act as ITK's saying that we won't sign anyone etc..and then attacking anyone who has a second opinion. The negativity on here is sometimes astounding.

Basically Nani and Berba have the most to lose from his signing......Nani goes to 4th option on the wing(if Young also signs) and Berba goes to 4th option up front.

Surely Welbeck and Cleverley would be more ideal for those roles as they won't make a fuss, and well, their values wouldn't plummet if they didn't perform due to that lack of time.

Just read through the last few pages (Christ, that was hard work).

Would a fair summary be that we're one of several clubs Udinese are touting him round to in search of a highest bidder, that the Sun then decided this means we're definitely signing him, which was picked up as fact by an American radio station, causing much unnecesary, Twitter-fuelled hysteria?

tbh, nearly every paper seemed to say Gill was meeting them. The Sun just randomly made it their headline and decided that Utd are the front runners because of that -_-

The chance of this happening is very slight. IMO it should be either Young or Sanchez, not both, so seeing as it's been reported Young has already agreed terms with us, I don't think we should be signing another wide player and doubt the reports are true. He'll end up at Barca or City.

Well tbf Alan Nixon who broke the Phil Jones story, also revealed that we're interested in Varane and Angelo Henriques(two of the names which we haven't heard before) is also reporting this story. So I'm thinking there is a slight possibility that we'll sign him.

Exactly.

There's also this theory that city want to play hard-ball over fees to stop selling clubs taking the piss. Somehow I doubt this new policy would involve allowing their number one transfer target join their local rivals for the sake of a few million quid. Even Gary Cook isn't that stupid.

I'm reading comments like Nani being pushed to 4th choice when he's the best winger in the league and I go WTF ????

If we get Sanchez then I assume we won't go for A.Young which isn't a done and dusted deal yet.

Sanchez has the potential to be a world beater in which ever position he plays... I can't believe people are so negative about him and yet assume that we don't need him.

I don't doubt we're interested. Fergie himself said as much a year ago.

I do, however, seriously doubt we'll sign him. He'll almost certainly end up at city.

In what sense (and in which world) would Nani be the '4th option on the wing'? Even with Sanchez, Nani would still be our best wide player and second best attacking player (behind Rooney).

Theres also the theory that Sanchez doesn't want to play for them.

Right, he's not just a winger people, he can play as the secondary striker through the middle as he has been doing for Udinese which was a revelation to me an caused my muppet erection. Nani wouldn't be under threat by him.

Pretty obvious really, he's not the first choice on his favoured right side, and well Young is more productive from the left, so I think it's safe to assume he'd be the first choice there. Rotating between them 3 would be easy though, but bringing in Sanchez, especially at this price, makes it's much harder as well, Rooney and Hernandez is clearly going to be main two up top....so he's going to play a lot as a winger as well as third choice forward...so yeah pretty clear why Nani would be 4th option on the wing.

My favourite was someone calling us all muppets and to get real, then "we'll only be signing Jones, Young and then on of Modric/Sneijder." Oh the ironing.
