Maybe we had to fire the whole PR department to fund the £180m transfer, so we're not going to announce him and he'll just show up against Yeovil :(

Re the ever increasing wage claims from the journos, will everyone please stop biting? They're trolling to feck for the response. Just ignore it.

They're doing the same with Chelsea and these strikers. No leaks, just taking trying to outdo eachother for a response.

35 mil plus miki plus 700k per week on 6.5 years plus 250 k image rights plus 25 mil for signing fee plus promise that he will be captain, pen taker and free kicks taker. All that for declining 30years old mercenary whos best days are past him.

It's 900k per week

Take those rose tinted glasses off. He's 31.

We'll wait until we can get everything done on this one, I believe. The videos, the pics, the lot all at once.

Quite odd as that is the exact opposite MO of our last few signings.

I mean, to not just announce all the media stuff because he has to find a permit office outside Manchester is just stupid. It's an alteration to a permit, i seriously doubt there are any issues.

Why don't they just announce him FFS, it's not like he's going to be rejected for a work permit

Probably nothing to do with the paperwork. Maybe Arsenal haven't done everything for their side of the reveal. Jose wasn't around yesterday so he hasn't taken a picture with him yet. Basically there are a lot of things that could be delaying it.

On the wages thing, Those papers know putting out stories like that brings them clicks. Just ignore them and they will stop appearing.

I guess United and Arsenal have agreed to do a simultaneous announcement? Has Miki completed his medical?

The United twitter needs to tweet a counter.
Starting a 0 and going up to a million. And then it says hes here.
Then the next tweet announces Sanchez.

Yet none of the ABU journalists seem to be commenting on how 31 is incredibly young for a 33 year old. He’s a freak of nature.

I did see someone (possible news of the world) commenting about the extra cost we will incur by supplementing his state pension. What do the other clubs in the league do to help the elderly? Nada.

How stupid. Two giant clubs in Manchester and they can't even get work permits in the city. Surely MUFC and MCFC should be coming together and giving the government some money to set one up?

I think all the interviews and stuff have been done last night. Most prob doing all the editing and finishing touches, then later in the afternoon will announchez.

Wage figures just get pulled from nowhere  despite all the 'strong' rumours I reckon his basic wage is more like £375k a week which still makes him by far the best paid player at United and maybe still the best paid player in the Premier League. It'll be bonuses that can and will push it over £400k a week, but I think most of it is bullshit. They're on a feck tonne of money but not to the level all these nothing news articles are reporting. Just want clicks, because it's United.

They should do that and then not tweet again for 48 hours. Announce him 15 minutes before the lineups on Friday then start him.

The club are probably finalising all of the marketing material for the announcement, which makes sense, as this will be a great commercial opportunity for the club.

They will not prematurely announce it just to appease us muppets.

He's training at carrington? I'm starting to think the first we'll know of him signing for us is when he runs out the tunnel.

Yeah they should definitely set up an office for about 3 jobs every 2 or 3 years.

That’s a much more practical solution than driving 30 miles.

1.4 million a week is a bit much though...

Or after that, just tweet like normal.
"Smalling speaks about the FA CUp and what it means to him"
"Read about youth player x"
"We are happy to announce... We love this game"

Just trolling tweets until Friday lol.

To appease our impatience?
