Exactly. How did everyone feel after Gerrard slipped and City won the league?
It's only one of very few times it's acceptable to root for City, and that with a heavy heart. The other times is if City winning helps United win a trophy.

This is how empty my Thursday night is.
That's Mkhi isn't it? When he scored that scorpion kick. Time really flies man. It feels this happened yesterday.

That’s ibra judging by the size of his body and celebration.

It is Mkhi. Thought it'd be poetic

Went to the trouble of airbrushing the number off his shorts, but not enough effort to replace it with a 7.

I guess that answers that

Looking at his injury history, he's not missed a lot of games given his intensity. The injuries sustained are also different types of injuries, not recurring ones.

17/18 Strained Abdominal Muscle 14 days
17/18 Influenza 5 days
16/17 Ankle problems 0 days
16/17 Thigh problems 4 days
15/16 Malleolar injury 42 days
15/16 Thigh problems 0 days
15/16 Hamstring Injury 38 days
12/13 Ligament Injury 21 days
11/12 Tear in the abductor muscle 10 days
11/12 Strain 9 days
10/11 Minor wound 7 days

Most of those days out are during the summer so over those seasons he's missed 30 games according to Transfermarkt.

Hey buddy,

I'm of pretty similar opinion. The only position I can think Sanchez would be deployed without being a hindrance to Martial's progress is as a second striker or alternatively Martial moving to second striker role. I've not seen Sanchez play much on the right and like you mention that's our weakest position. This could also end Griezemann pursuit.

Hello mate, hope you're well :)

I think it doesn't help that we've had a hit or miss record when it comes to the big transfers in recent times. We've had Mata, Di Maria, and Depay were attaching players that we signed without having a clear vision for how they'd fit into the team imo. The positive for me is that Mourinho didnt sign any of those players and he tends to know what he wants. He might wonder why the money is suddenly available when it wasn't for Ivan Perisic, maybe.

Anyway your suggestion about second striker makes sense. Hope we can get the RHS of our attack sorted in the summer.

During Sanchez 3 years at Barcelona, he actually played the most part on the right wing. The second year David VIlla played most at left, the third year Pedro played most on the left. I would say that Sanchez played 70-75% of his games on the right wing. He scored 34 goals and had 24 assist in 88 games during those 3 years.

Hoping the reports about the details aren't true.
We are fecking stupid if we're going to be paying this guy 500k per week, and on top of a 10m or 20m signing bonus to boot. Woody has more money than sense. Sanchez alone will not make us title contenders. Would be better to spend the money on 2 players at 250k each.

I'm worried he will start to lose his motivation after some time. It's a thing with South American players where they have really short peaks and then start to decline very quickly. Hopefully Sanchez's main motivation is winning trophies first.

Reassuring. Do you think that's where he sees himself playing though?

They're probably not.

Plus, the club is run by accountants who know exactly what we can afford. We're not going to put ourselves in the position we can't afford the other reinforcements we need because we sign Sanchez.

I'm sure that it's all press bullshit, but I think he could be as influential to our play as "maybe" Cantona... dare I say it!

Sorry bud, but that's textbook racism. Not even worth listing counter examples.

If we signed a player for 250k a week the press would find a way to tell us it's a 150m player. I wouldn't put much stock into those figures.

Di Marzio, who's seemingly the only journo worth paying attention to, said he's on about £400k. Obviously still a huge amount of money, but if we aren't paying a transfer fee, then the club will obviously factor that saved money in. 2 players at £250k would presumably require transfer fees of £50m+ each, so they'd actually be way more costly.

Not the same though. RvP had a contract, was in middle of his best ever form for Arsenal. Sanchez had already made it clear he was off in summer anyways.
Didn't RVP only have a year left? Hence the low fee?

Armenians in my experience are good people but also very proud and sensitive. If they treat Mkhi like crap... he could really make this really difficult for them, but if they treat him with a lot of respect and try as much as possible to make it a mutual decision, I think he will do it. But I hope Woodward and company understand this or it could really blow up in their faces.

Feck Greaseman, he is only using us to get a better deal. We, ManUnited.com, need to come out more and say they are not in for players. Let them get a pay rise on their own backs. 6/10 to be a Man United player, pifft and we feckin bought it!

I also thrilled that we finally getting a player who anticipates chances and makes those runs by the second post to finish off the moves, too often our players passing on opportunities to score tap ins simply by not going for it.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this. Just been watching this thread not really commenting.

What I'm really loving is the ABU shite is growing again. Love it. We are not 'back' yet but it sure is a good sign when 90% of the media and random mangers are attacking.

F em all! Can't wait for the game this weekend. I feel like this will energize the whole squad.
