If Mhkitaryan does go, I will actually be sad to see him go.

He's a great player, he's very intelligent too. Shame he's not settled and has been in poor form of late. When he's in form, he's so good. Think he gets a bit of a hard time on here, that's just my opinion.

We were warned by a Dortmund fan on here his form fluctuates wildly, and I guess he was exactly right. Hope it works out for him if he does go to Arsenal.
I agree.

Once we sold Mkhitaryan to Arsenal, Mkhitaryan hit his form and assist a lot of goals like he did it for us at the start and we'll be wondering why he didn't do it for us?!
He did do it for us...he just stopped doing it after a while.

Because it's a pressure free zone, with a totally different atmosphere. He'll fit in wonderfully well there, zero bottle.

Honestly thought Miki would have been shipped off last summer. Has been a nothing player for us for the vast majority of his time here. Shame.

I think he might do better at Arsenal. It's no real secret that Mkhitaryan does his best work when he feels comfortable and when he feels like he has the absolute trust of his team/management. If he goes to Arsenal, he isn't going to have much competition I don't think for the positions he will be played in. At United he was in a constant war with Mata and Lingard nipping at his heels. I think if he goes to Arsenal, and he becomes de-facto one of the main men at the team, we could see the Mkhitaryan that was a beast for Dortmund.

Some players, just need that unflinching confidence from their manager/coach, and I think he's one of them. I have no other way to explain how it took him so many years to emerge at Dortmund, and then to come to United and fade. If he believes he is the guy he plays like the guy if he is looking over his shoulder or has doubts, he plays that way. Athlete psychology can be weird!

Mkhi is a Europa/Top 4 level player. Such players can find a place in a top class CL squad which has competent players (eg: Delph at City). But we are in the process of rebuilding and needed him to be the main-man rather than the helper. Which hasn't worked to his advantage.

Anyway, he's been professional, so no hard feelings. Good luck to him.

He looks like Ross from Friends and can jog on. Other than the few assists he provided at the beginning of a the season - He’s been poor. At least Ross from Friends was funny with a monkey, or a pair of leather pants. Mkhitaryan was just, well, pants. Adios!

Great defence by Neville on MNF of United and explanation of the Sanchez situation. Suddenly City think they are too good to offer a bit more money for a player in comparison to United.

Carragher was made to look like a mug there.

What in the name of feck is going on on Monday Night Football with the Sanchez discussion? He's costing us over £100m because for some reason Neville decided to count alleged wages as part of the fee and then is comparing it to the £200m paid for Neymar and £140m for Coutinho without bothering to count their wages. Everyone has just competely lost their shit with this deal.

Gotta admit I never even considered £100m (supposed fee + wages) is pretty much what he would cost, even at 29, for transfer fee alone in today's market (if he wasn't running down his contract).

I'll save you time and answer that question for you right now. Miki doesn't have what it takes to be a United player. He is very talented, no doubt, but he doesn't have the nerves and the balls to cope with high pressure and high expectations of a club like United and a manager like Mourinho.
When the pressure will be gone and he'll have a soft manager like Wenger, he would shine no doubt. Mind that Arsenal still won't win anything bar the FA Cup, but he would feel at home over there.

Out of interest, if this was happening in the summer, and there was no suggestion that City were interested in him, what would the consensus be on this transfer?

Obviously he's a class player - one of the best in the league, but signing him probably does mean we're not going to move for Griezmann or Dybala anytime soon. Personally I'm over the moon about it, but I'm also aware that some of my joy is coming from getting one over City in a season where they can do no wrong and weakening Arsenal's squad even more.
Dybala seemingly has no interest in playing in England and has said as much before.

Don't particularly want Griezmann..i doubt he wants to be here either.

Well he did score the winner against Tottenham at OT in that 1-0 (great run and smashed it into the roof of the net) and he also seemed to score at will in the Europa League. I'm sure had he not got that run of form in the europa league, we may not have won it. He was our guy for that tournament.

But hey, fans are fickle.

Got to feel a little sorry for Mhky. Ripped up the German league, and was so keen to come here. Didn't he quote how proud it'd have made his dad etc?
Then now, completely out of trust, and just used as a pawn to bring a much better player in, and he's suddenly got to move 200 miles away to a lesser club.

He was good in EL but really not that good.
And you mention that one goal vs Spurs. It's simply not enough. Not even close.

I do feel bad for him but really at a club like this, he can only blame himself. His performances just weren't up to scratch.

Not like he's gonna have the worst life at Arsenal though. Still a big club and getting to live in London plus without all the pressure of playing at United, at least he won't leave here trophyless.

He shouldn't have sucked. We really, really needed him to be the star playmaker.
