Let's all laugh at how bitter Graeme Souness is.

Bitter scouse cnut.

The thing that’s shocked me during this whole ordeal is just how much hate there is for United, every journo/pundit seems to have a bad word to say about us. I mean how dare a player join us, one of the biggest clubs in the world with one of the top managers in the world when the mighty Manchester City are involved.

City are a oil rich club with no history yet the media seem to act like theyre saints who haven’t spent a penny when in reality since Pep took over 18 months ago he’s spent over £400m. ‘City or the money’ give me a fecking break that’s one of the most insulting headlines ever.

To emphasise on Souness’ point wasn’t it City done for tapping up? the saints of football who nobody will say a bad word about are the victims again.

That only applies to foreign clubs.

What applies to foreign clubs that doesn’t apply to English clubs is the ability to sign an official pre-contract agreement in January. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the ability for a player to speak to other clubs as soon as he enters the final 6 months of his contract.

Well Sam Lee thinks City are out of the picture. I guess that Man Utd will indeed sign Sanchez over next 48 hours.

Thrilled. Might give my gf the rod tonight and think of Sanchez playing off the right with Valencia.

I stand corrected then.

Truth be told,Souness is enraged that Utd have strengthened significantly with Sanchez which just makes it that bit harder for the club he loves (Liverpool) in the grand scheme of things! You could call it Jealousy/bitterness but truth is he his spooked!
He's been spooked ever since Mourinho came in. He's tried to downplay and shit on nearly every transfer we've made in the last 18 months. His bitterness towards Pogba is unreal.

I'm starting to think so too.

I think most would prefer Dybala over Sanchez, but United cannot avoid signing a player like Sanchez when he's both cheap and available. Mourinho didn't specifically say that we won't sign another attacker in the summer if we sign one now. And I'm not sure if Dybala is realistic anyway. What's there to suggest that he wants to go to Man Utd? And he'd cost more than Coutinho surely?
If Sanchez played like he did last year, he's a better player then Dybala anyway (as of right now). Obviously a lot younger, but if there's even a remote possibility of getting Dybala in the summer, I'm sure we'll try, even if we get Sanchez now. Highly doubt it's possible though.

Well, Souness is sort of right. We almost certainly did tap up Sanchez. That's how transfers work. Every team does it, usually without having to publicly apologise later like prats.
Thing is, it sounds like we made official approach with the men with power at Arsenal, and they gave us green light to talk with Sanchez to work thing out. The news broke this past week only about us making bid while all people were led to believe Sanchez was in City's bag. Doesn't sound like tapping up for me. If anything we're doing Arsenal all kind of favor. It feels like City trying use the situation against Arsenal to low ball them, even taking Sanchez for free in the summer. We're giving Arsenal option to get replacement.

To think Wenger and Arsenal would not jump on the chance to deal some damage to us if we're being disrespectful toward them by tapping Sanchez, is naive.

How have we tapped him up? City have had no agreement with Arsenal and Sanchez never had a written agreement with City. He's on the market, City dithered over him and we snapped him up.
The guy is in the last 6 months of his contract. Do you really know how transfers work?

I think the notion that we've only just made contact with him is naive beyond belief. I'd be amazed if we hadn't registered our interest in the summer or when City's attempted transfer fell through, as many of the reports suggest.

One thing I don't like about him, which is a problem many of our players have, is he likes to hang on to the ball for quite a while and does lose it quite often. That being said, I want him I want him iwanthimiwanthim

We tapped up Sanchez. City tapped up Sanchez. If nobody tapped up Sanchez, he'd probably have signed a new contract. Souness is such a bitter moron.

Liverpool tapped up Keita, Liverpool tapped up van Dijk, Liverpool tapped up Salah. In fact they even set up a fecking booth in Southampton's training ground so that Saints players can go and check what salaries they'd be earning if they swapped to Merseyside.

It's called the transfer market. Deal with it.

Yeah, the only stupid thing Liverpool did was that they didn't do it through the proper channels instead getting Klopp to speak to the player directly.

Smalling rumors sound like BS to me. Bailly is out for long. Jones can breakdown in any game. That leaves Rojo and Lindelof. Suicidal if we let Mike go.

I seriously can't stand this prick, it boils my blood every time I see him in the studio before a game of ours. Such a pathetic bitter old man.

Used to detest Carragher and his ugly scouse face, but he's shown to be a professional pundit and as non-biased as possible which is a rare thing to say when it comes to these commentators and studio analysts. Souness, on the other hand, is probably the most biased of them all.
I can't stand Steve Nicol either the two are completely unprofessional.

It's what we're willing to pay him according to everything.
Every news outlet so far has stated we are paying more for him and are paying him better wages.

The point im basically trying to make is, City can match whatever we can. So to state that his move to us is mostly about money is making it sound like we are a lot richer than City, something we are not.

Sanchez would weaken City at the moment anyway so he's better off with us from a city pov.

Agreed. Not signing Sanchez now would be mental, regardless of what the situation with Dybala is.

A lot of unreliable and semi reliable sources saying the deal is done. Announcement tonight?

I’m so fecking excited! I never even dreamed of signing Sanchez. We could win the CL with him this season!

No actually, reliable sources are saying deal is close. Bein are usually reliable, Sam Lee is reliable. John Cross is reliable and Hytner too. All saying deal is close to United. Expect for Sam Lee he just said that Sanchez to City is dead in the water.

Me too mate. This is fecking crazy! I've been resisting until now, but I'm actually going to go on youtube and empty myself whilst watching Sanchez videos. Can't believe this is actually happening :D:drool:

If we somehow can manage to send Mhiky the other way (either swap, or 25m or so), it would be a fantastic deal. Getting Sanchez is already a great deal too, and we can get Ozil for free in a few months.

If we also can change Ronaldo's mum, eh? to Malcolm's mum, eh? I would actually die as a happy man.

Maybe he just doesn't have the confidence in his teammates? I get the feeling that he knows he's the best player in that team and can afford to lose the ball a lot more because they don't have anyone who can do what he does. At United he won't have that luxury and he definitely needs to cut it out like you said.
