It is interesting the debate re Sanchez. In games against Newcastle (away), Arsenal (away), both hard fought, tough victories against teams who were / are in a much better shape than the current Fulham team, Alexis played very, very, well, and was extremely influential. He came off the bench to win a terrific header (which is a rare for our forwards by the way...) which led to our equaliser scored by Lindeholf against Burnley. These are important moments, important matches.
It is clear he is still a little short, whether that is all fitness and he needs more games (I think he needs a run of matches to see the best of him.. whether he will receive that now I don't know...), or whether he isn't interested (which I do not think is the case actually, and Ole seems to suggest that he is really putting it in on the training ground, which is superb...)
Alexis Sanchez playing well, brings a lot to this team. Quality, and experience that we could benefit from. I understand that this forum is a reactionary platform for many, that's fine. But we need to see football more than just a 'missed chance' or ' poor tackle'.. etc. He came on yesterday, and looked quite sharp to me. I am looking forward to seeing his game improve, because we will look an even better all round team.
People have short memories. Rashford, Martial, Lindgard.. all have had very indifferent periods in this campaign, and we are still learning as a team. We are not the finished article yet.
