Sanchez is very much like that fabulous looking car you see down at the showroom and purchase on impulse totally disregarding the mileage.....

Him playing on the right is definitely the way forward. Mental the way he wasn’t played there from the start. Still wasn’t great but at least he offers something on that wing and it allows rashford or martial to play on the left.
If we got Shaw and dalot overlapping regularly it would help too.

Can't believe he got 75mins but it was another tumescent team performance.

Wouldn't care if I never saw him in a Utd shirt again. How many chances does he need to show what he can do?

Jose needs to give Martial on the left Sanchez in the middle and rashford/lingard on the right a go for a few games, anything is better than what we are viewing at the moment. Sanchez was poor tonight but can’t really fault his effort he did make some attempt to chase after the ball when they were on counter.

But then at least you'd still have a car.

It's more like you make the purchase, only to realise you've been duped and you're not getting the car itself, but instead you're getting a wooden owl ornament.

I thought he was going to try make a scene when he was being substituted. Fans soon rushed him off the pitch. He’s going to start leaking discontent to the media soon in regards to how his being used. Not playing good enough, although I prefer him on the right for now. You can also see why he didn’t quite fit at Barca too. His passing isn’t good enough.

Thanks for that....made me chuckle

I have some sympathy for him cause he’s at least trying hard, but he looks finished. He looks like he could play another 10 full matches and not once get in a position to score or make a danger of himself.

Poor, predictable movement. Shite passes. Every shot or cross hits the first man. Loses the ball a lot and dribbles with his head down going nowhere. Just, everything is wrong atm.

Would we be better off giving him a month off with no football? He doesn’t seem to be playing with any instinct.
Would cost us what? 2 million in wages, for a refreshed player.
He’s going nowhere fast right now.
He had 2 months off over the summer. It's not fatigue.

Who wouldn't like a wooden owl ornament!!

At £500,000 NET per week he's an absolute disgrace and simply not worthy of a red shirt.
The muppets up top who gave him the contract need to be sacked ASAP.
He has so much money it's unthinkable when people are starving and dying in this world.
Send him to Tesco's to stack shelves for £7 per hour GROSS and see how he shapes up.
The worst expensive buy ever by any club in the world, total disgrace

I thought he started of very well in the beginning, looked sharp and was making all the right passes from the RW but he got worse strangely as the game went on. Why he rushes everything I don't know. Today I felt a bit of sympathy for him. He's trying hard I can see. He was communicating with Valencia and telling him to push higher up in the 1st half. He does want to score and help the team but isn't getting in those positions. Is that because he's declining and losing the ability or because of our style of play? Difficult to say.

The most sensible thing I’ve seen written on these boards for a long time.

Progressive taxation is the answer but to change the mindset of 2 generations brought up on Ayn Rand and Alan Greenspan, it’s not the easiest task.

Is this the worst (or best from the player's perspective) contract in history of European (ignoring Chinese retirement contracts) football? No exaggeration

All players cannot lose their ability over couple of months. Change of manager would help him. No point in assessing them while Jose is still here

Maybe I’m just being hopeful but I think he’ll come good. Not sure what it will take to get it out of him but I think he will get there in the end. Looked like he had a bit of a bite to him tonight and he’s got enough natural ability in him for that to create something.

Just seems incapable of making a two yard pass at the minute but he isn’t on his own there. As much as anything, the basics killed us tonight.

Thought he was our brightest player second half and most likely to be involved in any potential goal. He got is us going down the right side and was linking well. Not seen anything from Jesse, Rashford, Mata and Martial to suggest we should be playing them instead.

Was very disappointed to see him both taken off and most importantly the fans cheering that. The fetishisation of Martial I will never understand.

Well one player has actually had a good season with us. And one player has been better this season despite limited game . time . Currently Martial is the better player.

From what I remember, he was world class without a doubt in the first half of 2016/17, slowed down in the 2nd half of the season but finished the season strongly. Then the entire next season was pretty dreadful bar a few games, and now this season... So it really hasn't been a few months. Maybe 4-6 months or so where he looked good since the start of 2017.

Has anyone noticed a trend? It’s quite absurd. Every single game he has started he looked really damn good for the first 10 minutes and then he just completely falls off a cliff from there. He’s actually physically shot. Damn

Should play him as a full back because he's fecking great running away from goal with the ball.

Am I the only one thinking he had some good moments? Actually felt he was better than previous games. If played alongside an actual RB like Dalot, I think they can be a very good combo.

Wasn't great but as poor as he was he was still better than Lingard and way better than Mata on the right. He should be given a run of games there, leave the left to Rashford and Martial.
This all the way. Mourinho should play Dalot at RB and Alexis RW on Saturday, we might finally have a right side.

I'd say so, I doubt you'd find a club in the world willing to take him on a free on a 500k a week contract.

We're saddled with him.

When your tell your pal the club is paying this donkey 500 grand a week

One of the worst and fastest declines I have ever witnessed. 2 seasons ago he would have been in my world 11. Theses days he seems to be completely useless.

Not only that he is not able to beat his man or make something happen on his own. He seems to have no eye for simple passes or basic movements. I hope he can turn it around but this situation seems far worse to me than the one we had with Rooney about which everyone complained.

I hope he can prove me wrong.

He has declined but he can't be that bad. If he were at Liverpool/City he would still be a good player.

His wage could have been spent on wages for a backup striker to rotate with Lukaku. Priorities, priorities...
