Alexandre Pato

17 goals in 22 games for Internacional as a 17 year old is impressive.

Yeah that is quite impressive for a 17 year old, didnt think his record was that good. Dont think it is going to happen, would like it too tho.

How is Jo doing in under 20s? A lot of people talk about him being a good young talent.

he also couldn't move until december at the earliest because brazilian players can't move abroad until they're 18.

This guy is VERY highly rated though, I think he might have a case, similar to anderson, that only age has prevented him from attaining the required number of caps etc.

Having said that its a bollocks source.

Very exciting player. I wouldn't complain if we were after him, but I doubt it. End up at Chelski or Milan probably. He'd fit in well with Anderson, Fabio and Rafael though.

Apparently Milan are looking to sell him, according to some reports. I know we are quite stacked in that appartment, so I guess that would rule us out.

Anyone a fan of him?

Potentially the best striker in the world. I'd hope we sign him at all costs, cant lose out on talents like him.

I can't seem to locate any news story of him signing a contract after his initial five year (?) deal in 07-08 which should, by now, be close to expiring? Apparently Milan have turned down an £18M offer from PSG - a steal in that price range.

Rooney, Pato, Welbeck, Hernandez. Now there's a strike force.

Has he done anything of note the last three years?

he did play well vs Barca in a 2-2 draw earlier this season... other than that I'm not sure.

Recently had quite a few hamstring injuries so i wouldn't be suprised if Milan medical staff have identified a future problem there. They rarely let a player go who is at his peak...

wouldn't buy him at this point considering he'll cost around 30 million. Great talent though.

26 league goals in 39 starts in the last two seasons, 50 in 79 over the last 4 seasons. He's just had a lot of injury problems and there's the possibility of him having a few mental issues, so he's been understandably inconsistent. He's missed 47 games in the past two years, from 11 different injuries (mainly muscle).

That's a good return, goal wise.

But with that kind of injury record I'd say stay away, the last thing we need are more sicknotes.

I seen Pato do a piece of skill once that my mind just simply refuses to accept. It may have been against us, I've a vague recollection of it leaving Evra stranded.

For this reason alone, which I'm sure we can all agree is sound, we should immediately buy him. I'm not sure how much money we've got, but I can lend a packet of half-eaten quavers.

Kept fit he would be an immense signing. Milan selling him means that doesn't seem likely.

Milan are plonkers if they decide he's not worth it to keep due to his injury record.

Yes! Let's sign a really talented injury prone player from a european team, preferably for big money! What can go wrong?

I actually really hope we do sign him.

Big news from AFP: Sources indicate PSG and Milan have agreed a deal worth €35 million that will take Pato to the French capital

You've got to feel for Milan's manager.

Ibra, Robinho, Cassano and now Tevez in one team :D

PSG, the new big club around Europe soon? They have the money that's for sure.
