Aleksandar Mitrovic

He'll always score goals this lad, not sexy enough for most United fans though.
Didn't know attractiveness was so important at united. How did you put up with Rooney for so long?

You've obviously never watched Shrek. Shrek charmed a princess into bed.

Certainly showed he can score in the Premier League and bullied the so called g.o.a.t at the same time which was enjoyable

He'd cost a lot. Why would Fulham want to sell their key man after the season has already begun? It'd put them in an extremely difficult position.

Yeah would take big money to persuade them to sell now the season has started

I have always wondered why he hasn’t moved to a bigger club all these years. He’s only 27 and has been scoring a lot of goals domestically and internationally.

Is there an attitude problem with him that’s why big teams are reluctant to sign him? because I truly believe he will flourish in any of the top 6 clubs.

He's not gone to a bigger club because he's literally been bang average until last season.

He’d certainly get us back up to the PL next season!

In all seriousness though how much would he likely cost? I’d rather him than the Cnut we’ve supposedly bid for today.

So you have not the slighest idea what Mitrovic will be worth if he proceeds with similar form from last season scoring 43 goals? Given hes 27/28 prime age, come on give us a number, any number...

Let's say he's scored 26 goals in 105 PL appearances.

Even if he doubled that at Utd he still wouldn't be good enough.

In today's market what players are worth, and what they go for are not related. Then one must factor in negotiation skill of the buyer. He'd probably be worth 25m They'd probably want 60m because its us. Since we are shit at negotiations ......you know the drill.

It's less to do with us and more to do with the fact he's key to their Premier League survival and he'd have to be replaced at short notice. If you lose your main goalscorer and risk staying up what is that worth in monetary terms?

The fact we haven't been great in the market isn't that significant here. It's not like if Liverpool or City came in they'd bend over and sell him for 20 million.

I hope you noticed how reasonably priced Man City got Phillips and Spurs got Bissouma. Then remember how over priced our last two EPL buys were....

Sure, I'm not saying forward planning and being proactive at the start of the window doesn't matter. That's part of good recruitment and might help getting a good deal.

I just don't think negotiation skill matters that much at this point of the window for a key PL player, it's not happening for 25 million is it. There's only so much of a silver tongue you can have, whether you're Daniel Levy or John Murtough.

You think a prime 27/28 year old Mitrovic who scored 43 goals last season will be worth 25m in january if he continues this form? You gotta give me what youre smoking to ease the pain after watching Brighton game.

I'd spend 20m on this guy rather than 10m on Arnautovic any day..

edit: or even 30m

Mitrovic would require more than 30m, pretty sure of that. But as is perhaps to become a tradition, I'll post here that we have added yet another page to this thread with absolutely no links to the player posted whatsoever.

Sign him before window closes, we have lost out on Sesko so just offer Fulham whatever they want

Be paying that for most of these talented striker names being banded about

The problem we are facing is not just Mitrovic worth which will skyrocket as he continues his rampage on the field, but also transfer deadline that inflates players value as well as taking away a key player. In 3 weeks time Mitrovic may very well be 90m if we take our incompetent handlers in consideration.

Oh yeah huge Utd tax on all targets now

Don't have to look at any other reason. So far whenever he has been in the premier league, frankly he has been very underwhelming. Before this season he scored 24 goals in 104 appearances, this includes penalties. His last season in the premier league he scored 3 goals in 27 appearances (one of those 3 was a penalty).

So just looking at his record why would any big club come in for him? Granted it looks like this season will be different and he might finally have cracked it. If that is the case they might start to look at him.

Fullham want atleast 60m. If Mitrovic scores another 2 this week you can forget about that 60m as well.
I don't believe for a moment they'd let him go - he's there main hope to staying up this season

I think the people worried about him ‘not scoring enough’ are really missing the point. Our team is in desperate need of a player that can lead the line, hold onto the ball and be a focal point. With all our current options (maybe excluding Martial) we are totally toothless up top

people moaned about Cavani being "injured" a lot last season. not sure, martial's CV is very much better on that front. I've no idea what went on with Cavani (if anything) but not available is still not available. Martial will not get anywhere near enough goals to give us a chance of a good season. Rashford already proving he'll miss more good chances than he will take

Why on earth would they sell him this late in the window? The amount he's worth equates to how much Fulham stand to make if the stay in the league. No one is paying that for him

Because his game outside the penalty box has always been underwhelming. Until 2021 at least he was very immobile, not contributing enough in build up or chasing the defender and running the channels and he never had top pace to begin with.

However he has improved a lot fitness wise that he is much more involved in the build up and still arriving in the box to score goals. His workrate and defensive outputs have also gone up, lot more pressures from him this weekend but he still doesn't chase after CBs, compared to say Nunez or Jesus
