Alejandro Garnacho (out)

I mean just look at his take on numbers now compared to his breakthrough season under ETH. Or feck just watch actual matches of now compared to then.
Could be a number of reasons. Him beibg found out by opposition defenders after his break theough season; he’s never been THAT fast, more tenacious than rapid. And his dribbling had alsways been a little head down and see how it goes. Difficult second season syndrome. Him losing pace makes no sense unless he has stopped training. At 19-20 you get faster not slower.

The blue club is looking for the ideal replacement for Kvaratskhelia

The story between Kvaratkshelia and Napoli is now running out, as demonstrated by the fact that the sale to the PSG is to the final details.

Manna is now looking for the replacement, with the names on the table being those of Garnacho and the news Werner.

The blue sports director was reported in the evening in Barcelona, where he met Garnacho's agents to understand the feasibility of the operation and the will of the player, as well as the requests for engagement. United asked £ 70 million, considered too many by the blues: the feeling is that either it is at a different price or Napoli leaves the track.

I do and it doesn't involve Real Madrid.
Well thanks for the insight into the future. Can you also predict players who are going to make it to the top level ?

I do think he will reach a level higher than your estimation.

Think £50 million will be the price he'll go which is about right in my opinion.

Napoli realising they are sitting at the wrong table. Slowly shuffles over to the back of the room to talk to Werner. Antony on the next table notices and nudges his agent.

That’s not particularly hard to do given what Garnachos level has been
It is judging by how this club has spent money over the last ten years, there’s really not many reasons to be all that certain we’d spend the money wisely. Of course we can’t live in fear and sooner or later you feel we must start spending our money wiser, but it’s reasonable to be skeptical.

The fact that we’re already seeing other names linked with Napoli already tells me Garnacho won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, along with Mainoo it’s clear that Garnacho is the best kid to come through our academy in years and unlike Rashford is young enough and hungry enough to put a shift in each game and improve under Amorim whilst Amorim could also probably evolve Garnacho’s game to be able to play behind the striker.

Decent player that could get better but it looks like he's struggling in the new system. If we get good money for him it's the kind of sale we should make, for the better of the team. RA needs backing and if he thinks that he doesn't fit, move him on and help us to build a RA team.

No hate towards him at all but it could we need to stop putting square pegs in round holes.

Its a weird one isnt it? I dont want him gone because his ceiling can be pretty high. But the money can fund transfer of a player that fits the system more... so im not sure.

This is kind of sad. Prime youth product with the talent to cement down a starting place for us.

Sign of the times that we're selling. He's a proper Utd style winger of old. We'll regret this I reckon.

We are now a selling club. Unless there is something we don't know about his commitment, this is a bad sign of where we are at thanks to the Glazers and the other INEOS fools.

Thinking longer term this is a guy we need, even as a squad player.

I don’t think we’d sell him unless Napoli offered at least 60m guaranteed with additional clauses. That won’t happen so he won’t be going anywhere.

Let’s see, he’s been adjusting to a style which has no roles akin to anything he has played before, and now he has two assists in two games, away to Liverpool and Arsenal. If this is him petering out at 20 and failing to adapt to a new coach, he could probably be pretty useful to us even as a misfit.

Nah, I don't. I think he's performed well in a struggling team under ETH and is now adjusting to a very steep learning curve under Amorim. If he can navigate that he'll be quite a bit more than a 40m player. The main issue for him is to work hard for the full 90, track back. The other two building blocks where he can really improve is his pass selection (and actually select to pass, ha) and his technicality. He's fearless, he's almost always a danger to other teams, and he's 20 years old.

Unless he's stinking up the place like Rashford I wouldn't sell him.

The club should just focus on getting Casemiro to Saudi and Rashford into a decent shop window this month.
Passing and technicality are absolutely huge “building blocks” though and hes pretty poor on both. That doesn’t just change because he’s young and fearless.

I mean sure but we also have an entirely new group of people making decisions than we have for the past 10 years.

It's really difficult for anyone past the age of 15 to improve their technicality. It's kind of set in stone by then.
