African Cup of Nations 2021 (played in 2022) | Final: Senegal v Egypt, 7 PM UK time

What does that silly run-up achieve? Keepers have more time to choose where they dive and they lose power in the shot as a result of it.

Ouch. That second Cameroon pen was devastatingly poor.

Is that the worst penalty ever?

The state of those penalties from Cameroon wtf was that

GET THE FECK INNNNNNN

We're the most important African team in the history of this tournament. Feck off.

Apart from Aboubakar that's the worst set of penalties by one team I can remember. Fecking hell can't even do the run up right.

Two of the worst penalties I've seen. Feel sorry for the middle miss though.

I thought the Paul Pogba special for the first miss was bad, but Jesus Christ that last one

I said it once and I'll say it again. Our pride as African biggest team is fecking back. Got past Ivory Coast, Morocco and Cameroon through to the final.

Our pride and identity is back. We're Egypt. Period.

The year is 2087. Written on my gravestone is "Here lies Brophs, beloved by all he met, hater of the stuttering penalty run up."

Salah v Mane. Tasty. :D
At least if it was Senegal v Cameroon we would've been able to cheer for one side. Now I'm really torn, love them both, would give a slight edge to Mane because Senegal have never won it in their history.

Are they taking the same flight back to Liverpool? Must be a weird atmosphere, one delighted and one absolutely gutted.

The final is a poorer occasion now with Egypt in it sadly. We'll done for getting there though.

Only one of the last 8 finals produced more than one goal :nervous:

Senegal has the edge, no extra time played and 1 more day of rest

Cry me a river, every salty one. :D

Even if we lose the final, we have had a magnificent tournament.

Good luck expecting anyone to reach the final playing such set of opponents.

Meanwhile Cameroon have been playing shit teams ever since the group stage up till they met us.

How many chances did Cameroon create again after the two corners in first half ? One long range shot at best and that's it.
