Guessing the right way on 5/5 penalties isn't just chance.
How do you know?
It’s like saying tossing a coin and getting 5 heads isn’t chance.

He guessed well but the majority of the pens were garbage I thought.
Could be picked up as cheap backup as he was immense in that shootout, some keepers just seem to have that presence for those types of occasions.
And not only is he a great penalty saver, hes also what we thought Onana is. He can play ball. Google him like i said earlier.During the match the commentators said he was the best keeper in the tournament. I didn't watch his other matches but he certainly lived up to it in the shootout.
That’s got to suck as a player tbf but it’s not they didn’t have a ton of other chances. Mali have only themselves to blame.I didn't even realise that - makes more sense now

They must have missed the past decade with De Gea in goal. Who can forget him conceding every single penalty in a European final and being the only player on the pitch not to score his.Because he's a professional goalkeeper who most likely trains and practices saving penalties?
By your logic all goalkeepers would have roughly the same ability at saving penalties... Which clearly isn't true.
