Anytime you get any doubts about him just check this thread
This turn of phrase really stinks of entitlement & it’s been said by a lot of other posters on here.An Italian journo writing about an Argentinian playing in Spain?
Given our transfer dealings, I wouldn’t rule it out but doesn’t seem to be the best source (unless Italian posters can add a little on the source)

Can someone kindly summarise why Rabiot is known as having a bad attitude?
I vaguely remember stories about some fall outs with teams, and his Mum slagging off his manager at one point maybe??
Rabiot is better than any player we have in a deep midfield role. And by a long distance as well. For £15 million it's an immediate improvement. Stop being hysterical.
And? It's not that much in todays market.will be on 6m a year for the next five years
Will be another deadwood player who we can’t shift in 3 years, and therefore can’t afford to get an upgrade. Almost like nothing changesAnd? It's not that much in todays market.
120k a week?

Tielemans progresses the ball forward better than Rabiot does, which is what we need more. But I think both are decent players. Attitude wise I think you’ll struggle to find bigger pricks than Rabiot (we already have and are trying to sign him haha)Tielemans and Rabiot are totally different players. Rabiot is a better defender and generally less likely to lose the ball. Rabiot's worse season in terms of passing is Tielemans' average, Also Tielemans attitude was questionable at Monaco which is why they wanted him out as soon as possible.
Not to me. But much much much better than what we have. And if DVB can start playing to his ability that would be a good CM 2, or CM 3How do you feel about rabiot and tielemans

Agreed JP.We need players that are able to move the ball without losing it at a high clip, which is not Tielemans. We also need midfielders that can defend and press which is also not Tielemans.
And what makes you think that Rabiot is a prick and there isn't a bigger one?
I don’t know how it will work, but when on tunes, Rabiot is much much better than our options in midfield. He is better technically.
PSG wanted to keep him. I don’t know what happened at Juve but he went there when they were in the worse possible state.
TBF, look at Liverpool, or even City, the 3 cm don’t all have to be world class top quality players. They just have to be good and efficient at their roles, and not be a hindrance to the system; which based on the first half yesterday McTominay clearly is."we can't improve the squad because we can't shift average players on ridiculous wages!!!!"
"Sign anyone if it might mean mctominay out of the team!!!"
Just basing that on previous stories and issues with him at PSG/France. Obviously there not being a bigger prick was just hyperboleWe need players that are able to move the ball without losing it at a high clip, which is not Tielemans. We also need midfielders that can defend and press which is also not Tielemans.

He has already said he is not a dm, and if we insist on playing him there his mother will be kicking up a huge stink.Having had time to reflect I've calmed down a bit on this one. The fee really isn't that bad, is it. 15 million is chicken feed.
I'm trying to convince myself we can tell him he's not a fecking box to box midfielder and his job is to be solid. It's a big if, but if we manage to secure another midfielder on top of this one it will start to make sense as a bargain basement buy.
Agreed JP.
And this has probably already been shared but according to Italian football correspondent Adam Digby, Rabiot has been very professional in his time at Juve and hasn't been a problem.

True, and we didn't know anything about Rashford, Greenwood, etc. at this level until we played them. We'll also not know about Garnacho until we play them. That's the point. We find out.
Zidane Iqbal if I am not mistaken has had particular inexperience. Its not like hes been able to test himself on loan either.Although I agree, the opposite side of the argument is that we already know exactly what McTominay is and it’s below average at best
But the reality is we aren't going to attract the top players without CL football (see FDJ) so we have to find a way to make steps to get back to that level. McFred aint going to cut it and I'm guessing ETH has lost his shit in the wake of that Brighton game and we're now trying to do something about it by pulling the FDJ money and finding next level down players to make us better in the short term. Will be another deadwood player who we can’t shift in 3 years, and therefore can’t afford to get an upgrade. Almost like nothing changes
I remember your posts about Rabiot from prior years and you're correct about the players professionalism which has been validated by Adam Digby who's a Italian football correspondent.I genuinely don't know what people are talking about. I said it before, his issue was about having way too much pride and big ego as a teenager which has changed over the years at PSG, then he made one big PR blunder out of deception when he withdrew from the NT extended squad in 2018 but he aplogized and Deschamps forgave him. Otherwise Rabiot has never caused any issue in a dressing room.
Aren’t they both similar though? Both box 2 box… I mean I’m all for rabiot aslong as we get 1 more mid in to play with him, rabiot just isn’t enough to me and seems like a panic buy, but we do need bodies in midfield but they need to be quality and a big upgrade on Fred and mctominay.
Did Rashford/Greenwood have any more experience when they had their debuts and started (quickly, if I recall correctly) making a big name for themselves? Genuine question.Zidane Iqbal if I am not mistaken has had particular inexperience. Its not like hes been able to test himself on loan either.
If it was James Garner I would understand but Iqbal is just silly fans getting excited from a few pre season cameos. Its so clear on their knee jerk logic, and flawed.

You could change it to;
“An english journo writing about a dutchman playing in Spain?”
Are we (we a collective) that ignorant to think that other journalists in other countries only watch and report on football which goes on in their own countries? The feck?
I want to be hopeful and think that last season was an outlier for him, but stuff like this, is still difficult to ignore:

It’s true though, every journalist in every country has sources all over the world
Get off your high horse and get lost.
What are the stories that makes you think he is a prick?
And it's "British" journalists not "English".It’s true though, every journalist in every country has sources all over the world
