Not that he's blameless yesterday but in that instance I'm more upset with Shaw's leisurely trot while we're trying to start an attack. If he was moving faster that pass wouldn't be a problem.
Tielemans progresses the ball forward better than Rabiot does, which is what we need more. But I think both are decent players. Attitude wise I think you’ll struggle to find bigger pricks than Rabiot (we already have and are trying to sign him haha)

We need players that are able to move the ball without losing it at a high clip, which is not Tielemans. We also need midfielders that can defend and press which is also not Tielemans.

And this has probably already been shared but according to Italian football correspondent Adam Digby, Rabiot has been very professional in his time at Juve and hasn't been a problem.

not poking you specifically, but keep hearing how he went to juve and we can’t judge him on his time there, despite him supposed to be an important player. Prime years and barely made an impact, juve fans think he is a waste of time,psg fans don’t rate him. Complained about being played in his best position.

TBF, look at Liverpool, or even City, the 3 cm don’t all have to be world class top quality players. They just have to be good and efficient at their roles, and not be a hindrance to the system; which based on the first half yesterday McTominay clearly is.
Liverpool had Milner and Henderson as Klopps two main CM’s in his first few years , in fact those two still get a fair amount of game time.
Of all the names linked in recent days this would be a solid pickup and is definitely better than anything we have. Which is much needed.

I genuinely don't know what people are talking about. I said it before, his issue was about having way too much pride and big ego as a teenager which has changed over the years at PSG, then he made one big PR blunder out of deception when he withdrew from the NT extended squad in 2018 but he aplogized and Deschamps forgave him. Otherwise Rabiot has never caused any issue in a dressing room.

Zidane Iqbal if I am not mistaken has had particular inexperience. Its not like hes been able to test himself on loan either.
If it was James Garner I would understand but Iqbal is just silly fans getting excited from a few pre season cameos. Its so clear on their knee jerk logic, and flawed.
But the reality is we aren't going to attract the top players without CL football (see FDJ) so we have to find a way to make steps to get back to that level. McFred aint going to cut it and I'm guessing ETH has lost his shit in the wake of that Brighton game and we're now trying to do something about it by pulling the FDJ money and finding next level down players to make us better in the short term.
I know very little about this guy other than what has been written on here but if he turns out to be better than McT, which surely he is, then it's a positive step to getting a better midfield and thus a better team. The reality is, if we don't get CL next season we will go backwards even further.
I wouldn't have chosen this guy but at £15million and hopefully on not too big a salary / contract then it's some kind of forward step on the pitch in the short term.
I only hope somehow there is some plan, somewhere for the long term.

I have no merit on that one. Rabiot is a player that has been scrutinized since he is 17, the only two things that you can critize him for is pridefulness and the 2018 letter.

tbf you are right, there are no direct dressing room incidents unrelated to football. All of his incidents appear to be related to the fact that he doesn’t like to do defensive duties. For juve and France the blow ups seem to have been when other players have called him out for not getting back to defend, or when he blames others for his mistakes. Pretty sure that’s not his fault though as his mother has repeated the line he doesn’t want to play as a 6
