Yeah that’s a stretch. He was playing well and developing well until he started picking up injuriesCome on now I know he’s finished now but this is an egregious lie.

That’s more indicative of England’s lack of options at CB than how good he is. You are overstating what playing for United does for his transfer value. It’s not like he hasn’t been given a chance. He’s been dropped b/c he’s been deemed not good enough and it looks like the correct decision. All that but yet he’s still England’s main CB. Again have some understanding of what club he plays for. Your favourite understudy from England would probably fail here too. So relax.
On what basis or past reference do you think they want to spend £30m on 30 years old CB this summer transfer window?
The fact you mentioned Chelsea when they just spent massive on Fofana and Badiashile on top of koulibaly, Silva, and Chalobah shows you are just listing me names randomly without have a think about it. I really need explanation of where the idea of teams will spend £30m on 30 years old CB this summer transfer window, not just make random assumption without thinking.

West Ham or any other midtable team aren’t that stupid.
Some posters just love to exaggerate to emphasise their agenda.Yeah that’s a stretch. He was playing well and developing well until he started picking up injuries
It doesn't change the possibility that they can't match other teams offers. You can need a player all you want but if that player is offered better deals and is a free agent then you are out of luck.
Genuinely, what do you get from lying like that? Even his biggest detractors would concede that he’s had plenty of ‘outstanding’ games for us. In his first month alone he had multiple. And why are you bringing up the Wolves game? No one said that was an outstanding performance? My apologies, make it 4 or 5. Martial scored a nice goal v Wolves, but in no way would you describe it as an outstanding performance.
Does it not? That's basically my question, if they are capable to make a good offer now that they are in the CL?
But another thing people don't know about is taxes. Italy has solid tax exemptions for foreign footballers (https://www.itaxa.it/blog/en/italian-tax-breaks-for-football-players-and-athletes/). They get taxed on 50% of their earnings and end up paying ~23% tax overall. I recall reading that the issue with Rabiot and the source of the rumour that he "wanted so much money" was that his deal with Juventus was for £6m (€7m) salary net. Which worked out at £115k pw net, or ~£150k pw gross under the Italian tax law. But with the tax regime in the UK requiring 45% tax, that meant ~£210k pw gross salary, if he was to retain the same net income. And the club baulked at that.
Assuming he doesn't have offers or willingness to go to PSG, City or Real... there's no guarantee Juve won't be able to match the offers of others.
Chelsea will spend 30m on 30 years old Maguire this summer after they splashed money on Koulibaly, Fofana, and Badiashile. And because chelsea splashed money on Koulibaly last summer, west ham ,Everton, Spurs, Fulham because they are as rich as chelsea. If that’s your logic then it makes zero sense.

Newcastle are the only possible team to spend 30m on 30 years old centre back but they don’t even want to give us money to buy Lingard.
When these teams purchase players. They see the value. Whether they can be long term or whether they can sell them for bigger money. west ham ,Everton, Spurs, Fulham know 30 years old cb is not for long term and they know if they spend 30m then they can‘t sell him for bigger value. Hence 30m is no value and that’s why those kind of clubs only sign cheap or free 30ish CB like Dawson, Mee, and tarkowski. Chelsea already have enough CB, there is no value to spend 30m on 30 years old CB.
Again I’m just answering questions.
The claim was clubs aren’t stupid enough to spend over £30m on 30 year old defender. Well Chelsea and West Ham clearly…
Then the question was who would want him.. well there are clubs in England who would see Maguire as an upgrade or replacements to what they currently have. So I answered that.
All we are doing now if showing how much we rate or don’t rate Maguire. Which is not the logical view when deciding on selling a player and is not what I would be looking for from our Director of Football. That’s not their job, or that of an agent.
So I’ll repeat I’m pretty confident our DoF and Maguire’s arrogant agent can get him a move for £30m plus.
Any teams will even spend £50m on 30 years old defender when they are desperate. We might even spend £100m on 30 years old striker because we are desperate. A human will spend crazy on something when they are desperate. I'm not arguing that.
My argument is about who wants to spend that £30m on 30 years old Maguire this summer? Who is this desperate club that will spend £30m on 30 years old defender like Maguire!! I can't think any clubs and that's why I'm asking you to name but your answer is not giving any solution to the argument.
Most clubs won't be that desperate to consider Maguire an option at the start of the summer window. However, come the end of the window you might see a mid-table club struggling to attract players or in January 24 you might well see a bid for him from a relegation-threatened club in the midst of an injury crisis.Any teams will even spend £50m on 30 years old defender when they are desperate. Clearly you've been fooled by the thread title.I thought this thread was for Rabiot intended upcoming move to united
Have you even seen Tielemans play recently? For free I'd rather take Tielemans.. And I was against a Tielemans transfer.
Why are people saying this lad is mentally weak online?
I was under the impression he was a big arrogant bollocks, but have seen people say he collapses under pressure. Any truth to this?
Edit: Rabiot, not Maguire. We all know Maguire is mentally weak.
He used to be very arrogant and no he doesn't collapses under pressure.
That's what I thought. Weird that I've seen it on reddit a few times that he doesn't stand up to pressure well. Assumed there was a reason. I guess just reddit things. Cheers.
Rabiot is much more suited to our needs in terms of his press resistance and ability to carry the ball better than any midfielder we have (not elite, but decent at it which will be a nice change). For free I'd rather take Tielemans.. And I was against a Tielemans transfer.
Yikes. Even if you ignore Tielemans' performances, Rabiot is much more the style of player we are missing in our midfield setup. For free I'd rather take Tielemans.. And I was against a Tielemans transfer.

Tell me you don't watch football without telling me you don't watch footballFor free I'd rather take Tielemans.. And I was against a Tielemans transfer.
Tbf I haven't watched Tielemans in a long time. I guess he has regressed a lot from the reactions. After yesterday’s performance.. I’d rather have McTominay and Sabitizer.
He was signed at 26, on the upslope of his career, from a team where he was first choice for the fee you except Maguire to fetch
Martial has been at United for eight seasons?!? I would never have thought that. He's frequently described as a talent that your Manager could potentially unlock, so I always think of him as a youth prospect. He's only six months younger than Gabriel Jesus.Quite true. With only a few exceptions such as Bruno, Martinez and Casemiro, since Ferguson left we've either chosen poorly or spent way too much. The rolling debacle began with Fellaini, who was never United quality to begin with. Then Mata, a tidy footballer but never quite regular starting material. Then Martial, who in his 8 seasons with United has had at most 2 or maybe 3 matches when his performance could be described as outstanding. Fast forward to Antony, who we spent a vast fortune on but really hasn't gotten off the blocks yet
He’s shite. Tielemans that isFor free I'd rather take Tielemans.. And I was against a Tielemans transfer.
Didn’t win brexit to be spoken to in foreign tongues!!What the feck is this gibberish, SPEAK INGURLISH!
He has the legs to do it, and he can carry the ball well and pass effectively. A good all-round 8.Has he got the athleticism to partner Casa in the big games or would we still need to sign a Caicedo type player too
