Adrien Rabiot | signs 1 year deal at Juventus. See you all next year

Posted this earlier, there is a beneficial tax regime in Italy for people staying in the country minimum 2yrs, which lasts up to 5yrs. I haven't looked into the figures in detail but the wage his mother is asking for might just net out the same as his current in Italy. Under the "impatriate" scheme you pay tax on up to 30% of your salary only. This is a huge benefit over the UK tax regime.,

The problem is, Johnny went so far to place him among top earners. We’re sooo lucky that his mum is a bigger cnut and idi*ot to not accept these terms. I really really hope this doesnt goes through, especially not for these fee’s.

I mean we 100% know we were interested in Rabiot and all common logic says we approached Juventus first which is why we now find out we won't meet his wage demands?
 
Like i said in my first post in this thread. Isolate football skill. I do rate Rabiot and it's no doubt about of football skills. But i have and read his problems with The France nation team and his previous club. And if the total packet of Rabiot. But skills + personality/character and mentality = if it is a world class or really good. Juventus wouldn't let him go so easily.

And as for his potential role for United. The deep laying, control and dictate cm player. Get the ball from the deep, make run with the ball forward or pass it forward to attacking players.

There are two realistic really good cm options out there. The first one is the one United had been linked on Sky Sport. Moisés Caicedo and the other is Ajax and Mexico Edson Alvarez.


+ Moises Caicedo, Brighton. 02.11.2001. MV = 6 mill euros

+ Edson Alvarez, Ajax. 24.10.1997. MV = 22 mill euros


One of those 2 beside Frenkie De Jong/his alternative option = 2 new cm players


Should strength United XI line up and squad.


Agree United shall go off Rabiot deal. Alvarez is more a CDM in 433 formation. Compare to Caicedo who i think is more box to box cm player. Caicedo has good long shot i think. But to be honest i haven't follow Caicedo the last 18 months. Game against United and last season game against United where he scored. Has been the 2 fully matches i have watched him.

He was already overpaid at Juve. And he wants to almost double that. Him and his mommy can feck off.
 
Bottom line is that he isn't going to get much playing time at Juve this season which means he isn't going to the World Cup then.

I'm not convinced that this isn't dead in the water yet and maybe as some have predicted, his mother starts off from an aggressive stand point to see what she can get - what mother wouldn't do that for her son!

If they wont lower their demands then we are correct to stay clear as its not about the project its about the purse. Shame as could have been useful.

But we don't know if we had initial contact with his agent to sound out any interest or if any sort of discussion over ballpark wages occurred.
People having meltdowns about the club over this is daft.

Considering we now see his salary expectations as unreasonable. It's a pretty sensible conclusion to make that we didn't have this conversation first.

Have a feeling he/his mum will come back with more reasonable demands the closer we get to 1st Sept.

I agree if she wants her son to be one of the top earners at the club she can get fecked. He's an upgrade on what we have in McTominay and Fred but nothing we should break the bank for.

Not sure why many are bringing his mom into the picture. Agent or mom doesnt matter. Rabiot is doing the same thing as Pogba. Like Pogba who went on free transfer earlier to get fat contract, and repeated again to do the same. Now Rabiot is again inclined for free transfer instead of moving now.
United should steer clear as these overpaid contracts due to free transfers with no relation to player ability will only create toxicity in dressing room.

Rabiot's mum is an absurd character
 
His agent (mother) is absolutely doing a awful job serving his client's (son) interest. Even though he is currently collecting a high net salary in Juve due to lower tax rate, I can assume his contract will definitely not renewed or in current level and his contract due to expire in 1 year. Accepting united's multi year offer can make sure his client to receive more guaranteed money. I don't think they can receive a better offer as free agent since he will mostly be freezed out in Juve this season and miss the world cup.
