Being a player who takes a lot of risks generally worked out under LVG didn't it? see ADM or any of our players for that matter. The scathing reviews were that he compared everything to us, as we are his first proper club.

He had a lot of good games for the U21s last season too, those games essentially become training sessions for players who have had a good run in the first team, its a minor misdemeanour many players such as henry have done in the past.

In that Mourinho interview he talked about how many number 10s we had, januzaj would never get a chance at RW under Mou so that is his only option and our captain, Mata, Mkhy and others all play there, a lot of good players with exemplary attitudes aren't in the 23.

Cancerous prescence? that is literally mental, everything you point to except trying to score from a corner suggest a lack of ability rather than a poor attitude.

Sunderland have landed Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj on a season-long loan deal.

Black Cats boss David Moyes has returned to his former club to land the 21-year-old Belgium international.

Januzaj is the third United player to sign for Moyes' side ahead of the new season.

He follows defenders Paddy McNair and Donald Love to the Stadium of Light after the duo completed permanent moves to Wearside on Thursday for a combined fee of £5.5million.

Januzaj made his breakthrough at Old Trafford under Moyes in 2013 and was widely hailed as one of the most promising players in world football.

But he has struggled to make an impact in recent years and spent an unsuccessful spell on loan at Borussia Dortmund last term.

He was stripped of the No.11 shirt by new United boss Jose Mourinho this summer and has been left out in the cold in pre-season.

Now he will look to kickstart his career under Moyes at Sunderland and could make his debut against Manchester City on Saturday.

i was surprised mourinho was as emphatic as he was that adnan is still in his plans. this is a perfect opportunity for all sides involved, and now everything is on januzaj's shoulders as he will be given the opportunity to play. i'm convinced he'll come good, and come back to us as a far better player.

Looked a bit rusty. Still a good cameo though. The corners were embarrassing but he was directly involved in Defoe's goal and it seemed like he remembered how to dribble again. Moyes will give him a lot of opportunities and if he doesn't take it then it's just time for us to move on.

Aye I feel the same way. I know he did well for Sunderland's goal. Credit to him for that.

However, he had 2 corners and he took them lazily not even getting past the 1st man. Also recall an instance when he could have applied pressure on a City defender in possession, but he just kind of walked about despite having fresh legs.

He's got talent, but does he have the work-ethic to match? Doesn't seem he does from the evidence so far.

He isn't going to get a better loan than Sunderland under Moyes - hopefully Moyes was actually doing something to get the best out of Januzaj in his first season and it wasn't just a coincidence. If nothing else Moyes will have more confidence in him than any other loanee manager would.

We do well, harder to get back in; we do poor, the managers gets the cheque book out again (which he'll do anyway). 1. Rooney finally gets found out at no. 10 and mikhi or mata make that their spot. So we are looking for a RW and why take the cheque book out then.
2. Memphis or lingard do not perform and need to be replaced with an upgrade in adnan.

Many other scenarios can take place in a season so its too soon to tell. Just wish the lad luck and hope he does well

Agree with the luck comment, still a Utd player after all. I just think history tells me that whilst there are exceptions to the rule, and most recently Lingard is a example of coming back after a number of loans, you keep your best players at the club irrespective of their age. More chance of making it coming off our bench than even starting somewhere else....
