Van Gaal will hate him.. :nervous:

Thought he was brilliant last night. He's one of our best players now.

The fact that he's just integrated with the squad and the first team so easily makes me happy. He's been such a joy to watch this season, and hopefully he can improve on what's been a fantastic debut season for him.

I actually thought he looked like a senior player and a seasoned professional last night. He's that good.

Give him the 7. If by some miracle we could also get Reus on the other wing, we'll have the makings of quite an attack.

I wouldn't mind seeing him get the number 10 shirt even as the fat scouser can go as far as I'm concerned.

He's simply a joy to watch, what football is all about really. He plays with no fear, it's so refreshing to see a player actually run at the opposition.

I'm worried he's the only person on the team that even thinks about trying to run past a player.

Was imperious yesterday, he's down as first choice on the right for next season and beyond.

Brilliant performance from Adnan last night. Full of courage and responsibility. Best player on the pitch by an absolute mile. Nice to see him not pinned out on the wing either. Allowed the freedom to drift all over and express himself. Might not have been anything riding on the game but it was a joy to watch. Should be first choice on either flank next season.

Thought he looked really good and that willingness to run at people, particularly second half is something sorely missing from the team.

Definitely think he can be a firm regular of the first eleven next season. The main positive from this season.

This lad has all the makings to be one of the best player in the world. Frightening ability at his age. Moyes deserves credit for giving him game time and getting him to sign a new contract.

He's incredible for a 19 year old. I can see him develop into a world class player. His best position? I dont know but he's a player where you can give him a free role and he'll do the rest

incredible player. with potentially only about 45-50, if even, games next season i see no reason not to have him as one of the more frequent starters

I think he also deserves credit for not over-playing such a young footballer, even when we were crying out for a bit more attacking flair. He looked so sharp, fit and hungry last night. Stronger too. Long term, he will definitely benefit from being used sparingly in his debut season. Especially with referees giving him so little protection.

Our MOTM by a distance yesterday... willingness to run, always trying to be positive, good link-up with those around him... and his uncanny ability to knick the ball just before a Hull City player was quite something,

He's going to be our best player in a season or two.

As for position? I think behind a striker as a #10 would be his best role, but can't see him playing there that much at the moment as we have Mata and Kagawa.

Did well last night. Maybe it's a relief he didnt play much in the last few weeks of Moyes as he doesn't seem to be as psychologically contaminated as the other players. He still takes the ball and drives at the defence with it.

To add to his ability on the ball, he is very tenacious as well. Tackles really well and never shirks from his defensive duties. I love him. But he needs to learn to show more expressions. Always seems to have zero expressions even when he is kicked.

That was what I loved about his performance on Saturday when he came on as a sub - he was back in our area making tackles and then sprinting back up the pitch to launch attacks.

He's a winger. It's clear as day. His skill set is perfect for a modern day winger. Don't like this new trend of thinking everyone with abit of talent should be a ten.

Could not agree more. It seems everyone with technical ability and the eye for a good pass is expected to be a no.10 .

We are well stocked in that department anyways, so it's better to put Adnan out wide as he is great here, where as Mata, Rooney and Kagawa are all more comfortable playing in the center.

Hope he can nail one of those wide spots next season. Hes a lot more dangerous than Valencia and Young, thats for sure

That's what I remembered when I mentioned that. He is not a prima donna like many young stars. He works his socks off. Obviously there are concentration issues but he is a guy who is very close to his roots and acts like that.

I can't wait until he can finally consistently start on the wing. He should be ranking up far more starts than Valencia/Young next season if they're still here.(hopefully not.)

His agent has been speaking to the Belgian media saying how Adnan is now the best paid young player in the world, and how he gets more than Ronaldo and Messi when they were teenagers.

Appears our lesson has been truly learned.

Shades of a young Ryan Giggs when he starts to dribble with the ball. Beautiful player to watch.

Van Gaal will be a great mentor to him. Both Dutch speaking, and LVG's brought through loads and loads of all time great level players.
French is his first language. Since he's from Brussels, he'll probably understand a bit of Dutch as well, though I'm not sure how much.

Article (in dutch) with his agent Dirk De Vriese in a Belgian football magazine:

An excerpt from the interview with the Vriese about the Belgian 'boywonder' of Man United.

Adnan Januzaj chose the Belgian national team, but does he feel Belgian?
"Yes, he loves his country. He grew up here and his friends, such as Romelu Lukaku are Belgians. His choice is logical. He doesn't speak Albanian perfectly for example. Instead, he's a real ket (is a nickname for a kid from the streets of Brussels) who can express himself well in Dutch. My role is that of sports counselor, I certainly do not meddle in the choice of the country he wants to represent. I'm not Albanian, I have not experienced the war there, so I can not judge the sensibilities of his choice."

You played a role in the contract extension Januzaj signed in October and binding him to Manchester United until 2018. The amount of 70,000 euros a week was mentioned in the press.
"I can only say that he is the highest paid young player in the world. At eighteen, he has a more lucrative contract than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi at that age. That means something and I'm proud of that. We could have even had more when you see how much Manchester wanted to keep him and how fierce the competition was."

Among the clubs who wanted him was, apparantly was Barcelona.
"All the big clubs wanted his signature. Especially Paris Saint-Germain wanted to go really far. Five minutes before we signed the contract extension, an adviser of the clubpresident from Qatar, made a completely insane offer to us. Because of Adnan becoming a free agent at the end of the season, and no transfer fee would be payable, the Qatari were prepared for anything, both in terms of salary and signing bonus."

He was absolutely brilliant once again last night. Bruce can't be far off the mark calling him the best young talent in world football. Once he builds up some consistency with his crossing and shooting you can't help but think he has the potential to be hugely productive. He really can do anything.

Interesting that he's mates with Lukaku. Could we use him to bring him up here in the same way we sent Agent Dave to "have a word" with Mata?

The club really went out of their way to keep him and he is surely going to be worth it.

God I despise these agents.

Think he lacks the genuine pace/frame to be a winger long term. Think he will become a #10 where his balance is more suited to weaving through small gaps without the need for as much pace.

He's clearly going to attract offers every summer! Ronaldo mk2 - a few explosive years with us before he jets off to Spain for his prime?

Sign him to a 10 year contract

Hopefully he can be a major part in another successful period for this club. As Bruce said things can't be so bleak when we have such a promising talent here. He's the sort of player that you can't wait to get on the ball, and that's what football is all about. Delighted he thinks united is the best club for him as well, it would have been a nightmare to lose another world class talent.

He is quicker than he looks, just glides past players. Defenders think they have him but his change of pace is up there with the best.

Januzaj should hire another agent for his greater good. These loud mouth agents are the worst of the worst. Every speculation he will talk about it.

That game V Hull he played like a 26 year old in his prime. He is such a mature player already and I cant wait to see him in 4 years time.
