Adidas To Launch United Originals.

I thought that might just have been me being picky, as I've had my hands on some of the old player's shirts from that era and this fabric just doesn't seem to have the same feel or movement to it. It is not really like a football shirt material, even though they are both 100% polyester. Maybe it gets better after washing?

Also, it reinforced my feeling that it would have been so much better without the Sharp logo, that's kind of 3D, raised like on the later 80s and 90s shirts, while the originals were flat flock.

It was the first shirt I had as a kid, I remember the logo being significantly raised from the shirt.

I am probably the same, picky, but it would be such an easy thing to do, even if it was lighter like an adizero version, but it is quite heavy. Not as heavy as the far east version mind you. It would have helped had the trefoil and crest been smaller like a true 83-84 as well.

Also agree on the Sharp logo. It looks a bit cheap in my opinion.

I have also had my hands on the 84-86 shirts that they have just released and while it is closer to an original, it's still not quite like an old school shirt.

Ended up getting this one in the end as it was less than half price on classic football shirts. Love it

Nah they were made out flat velvet type material that peeled off after two washes.

I certainly remember it peeling off. Perhaps time has played tricks on my memory and it was a later shirt I'm thinking of?

Woah! That jacket was awesome!

My order came today and I'm a tad disappointed to be honest. The 84 shirt material is not much better than the cheap retro options out there already. I was hoping that it would be light like the original versions back in the day.
very small fitting too - had to return

I'm thinking of getting the sweat top version of the third kit from 84-86. Anyone took the plunge yet?

Want to get the 84 shirt but from reading things on here, not sure it's worth it.

Are they selling these online only? Might pop into the adidas store myself to check it out instead.
