ABU Pundits

Unfortunately just caught Gabby Agbonlahor on Talksport. He was calling Amad an only okay player & nothing special, De Ligt not a very good signing, all whilst 15 minutes earlier trying to claim that his mate £100m signing Jack Grealish brings so much to City's team that the fact he hasn't scored for over a year doesn't matter.

Nothing special is usually said in a figure of speech way and is derogatory in nature so I'll take it as that. Daft thing to say.

If taking it more literally or neutrally I think it would be premature to say he definitively was special, he hasn't had enough exposure at a high level to conclude that. By the same standards it would be too early to say he isn't and is therefore just ok.

He's only 2 months younger than Palmer, a year younger than Saka who definitely are but have had a lot more chance to prove it showing levels he's obviously got nowhere near yet.

Agbonlahor is an idiot. Best just to ignore him.

Captain obvious from Morrison.

Get a manager in and get signings to suit him, and allow him a pre season to get players trained?

Or lash a tonne load of wad on players who might not even fit the new manager's system, and bring him in right in the thick of the busiest time of the season where you're basically playing or recovering, with very little time to train and learn new shapes etc.

Well yes, but why wasn't that obvious to the clubs management

Probably because they're experts in certain fields but not football.
The football "experts" we brought in were just finding their feet and one of them reportedly thought Southgate was a decent option.
