A cousin of former FIFA World Player of the Year George Weah. (Like Ali Dia...:lol:)
Wreh's career never reached the same heights as it had at Arsenal, as he became somewhat of a journeyman footballer. He initially signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal, then returned to the UK in 2001 with brief stints at Bournemouth and St Mirren, but fitness problems meant he rarely got a game. After trying his luck at Bishop's Stortford, he played for United Counties League side Buckingham Town.

In 2005, Wreh retired from football to concentrate on a musical career with his band 'Soul Rebels', who were touring Europe.

In 2007, he returned to football, signing for Perseman Manokwari of the Indonesian Football League

Coming through the ranks at Ipswich, Kiwomya was a promising talent signed by Arsenal in 1995, shortly before George Graham was sacked for taking bungs when signing players like Chris Kiwomya.

He later joined QPR and is now on the coaching staff at his beloved Ipswich.

A powerful French central defender who won the Champions League with Marseille in 1992, scoring the only goal in the final against AC Milan. Following revelations of match-fixing at OM, Boli later joined Rangers and then Monaco.

Perhaps most well-known over here for head-butting Stuart Pearce during England's clash with France in Euro 1992. Pearce literally took it on the chin and refused to go to the floor. Boli escaped punishment.

Argel fecks ... Brazilian Defender who was capped by Brazil once possible just to have his name grace the shirt, played mainly for Benfica
 
I can't believe Ian Marshall hasn't been mentioned. Him playing top level gave me hope that I could also make it. Scored goals for Leicester too!
 
I loved the 90's football.

As for players, Noel Whelan. Once touted as the next big thing at Leeds, then later Coventry. Also, Eoin Jess.

Arguably Pools greatest ever player. Has played in pretty much every position other than in goal and is really only still on a playing contract at pools because of his long service to the club. Key player in a couple of pormotion seasons for us.

Ian Woan of Notts Forest was indeed a good player. Had a cannon of a left foot and scored an absolute screamer against Newcastle towards the back end of the 95-96 season, around the Keegan meltdown time.

I remember that goal was pretty much the nail in Newcastle's coffin that season. Lovely left peg on him (see 2.00 below).

Eoin Jess was a big talent who underachieved. The partnership he struck up with Dutch international striker Hans Gillhaus was pretty much as good as anything in Scotland at the time. Certainly the best player Aberdeen have produced in the last 25 years.
 
Albeiro "el palomo" Usuriaga, Colombian who came to prominence with the 90s boom of Colombian footballers centered on the Atletico Nacional de Medellin of Pablo Escobar. Fantastic footballer on his day, a loveable roguish character, but at the same time, a massive, massive feck up with a long list of disciplinary problems that saw him play for about 600 hundred clubs in Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay etc etc.

Probably had his best days with Independiente in Argentina where I understand he's considered quite the idol. Scored the goal that put Colombia into the 90s world cup in Italy, but as was to be his destiny, got booted from the national side for disciplinary reasons and did not travel to Italy. It was no surprise that at 37 years of age, two "sicarios" (Colombian hitmen) drove up to his front door on a motorcycle in the city of Cali and filled him with lead. Rumors have it that he was either involved with some gang leader's woman, had denounced a crime in his neighborhood, or most likely, drug trafficking. A typical Colombian death, at any rate.

Very comparable both physically and footballing-wise to Emmanuel Adebayor.

Great blast from the past that one and yes, he was immense for them. Not sure what it is with Independiente but they seem to get all the nutcases there (e.g. it was them nicknaming Abreu "el Loco").
