It would be nice to have a full back who gets a few goals and assists. We don't score near enough goals and our lack of attacking full backs in recent years has been a real hindrance.

Dalot has been a refreshing change this season, he's been excellent in that regard. Wan Bissaka will never be like that.

He's not a very good fullback.

He's an average at best fullback that struggles badly with his positioning, overall awareness and he's just about useless going forward. If you stick him in a team that sits deep, where he can focus on 1 vs 1 situations out wide he'll be solid.

Thats us then. We only know how to play counter attack and he was one of, if not the best performer against City playing that way

Sure its nice, but not very helpful when you play a team with wingers who are likely to score 3 or 4 times the amount of that fullback over the course of the season. Hooray your fullback scored, too bad 3 goals were created down his flank.

Dalot has has 5 assists this season compared to Wan Bissaka’s 3. He’s played about twice as many minutes. The difference isn’t that great.

But we generally don't try to sit deep, and Wan-Bissakas performances since he joined us has overall not been good enough. Lets not rewrite history based on the FA cup final.

Excuse me? We play 2 DMs sitting in front of the box and invite teams on so we can spring a counter with Bruno playing in our fast attackers

Also we have 9th most possession on average, 50.4%. Slightly over 50/50 and of course that includes the bottom teams, against the top teams where we rely on counters even more we are under that 50.4%

He's always had good ball skills and decent dribbling. It's his sloppy passing and one footedness that gives the impression that he's poor on the ball. Personally, I would keep him as back up this season.

It's the only realistic option, in my opinion. There are so many other gaps to fill. Spending money and effort on getting a marginal improvement in back-up right back would be really dumb.

Have we had any genuine interest in him yet, we need to sell him this summer.

Maybe we could offer him to Everton as part of the Brathwaite deal, he would be a good replacement for Sheamus Coleman.

Apparently Turkish champion Galatasaray is interested in him

I struggle to see a Turkish team paying him what he is worth. Being English and PL proven we should be able to get minimum €15-20m for him if sold to a PL club but no chance Galatasaray can and would pay that amount for him

So we would need to add to the squad another RB and a LB? Looking pretty thin...

We really are fecking terrible at selling players. Yes, I know the reasons why like mega wages etc. but it’s still fecking depressing. Especially when you see clubs selling players for £15-£20m that have barely kicked a ball in the Premier League.

Hmm, doesn’t look a great deal. Do we have a reserve right back I am unaware of? Otherwise, seems like we need to add new RB to our list of summer purchases.

I don't think he's the answer to our woes but buying AWB for £50m a few season ago after scouting 804 right backs around the world, and now selling him for €7m when we have no replacement back up right back, is pretty peak United.

Although giving Dortmund £75m for Sancho then loaning him back to them (and paying most of his £350kpw wages) so that he can get them to the Champions League Final is pretty good too.

10m euros for a 26 year old decent PL full back is something only United can do. That is seriously embarrassing even if he only has a year left.

10 million is a bit of a joke. Yes he's not first choice right back, he has no international caps and is prone to some really stupid decisions but you're getting a top one v one defender with good pace and who isn't that bad technically. For every error prone performance (Coventry, Leipzig, Sevilla) you're also getting a player that shut out many quick wingers (League and FA cup finals for instance)

He probably needs to leave but it's hard not to feel a bit ripped off in this instance if this is true.

This has got to be bullshit. I am sure there will be 3-4 English teams interested in him if he was available at that price.

If those figures are true then it's a contract worth 60k a week (which is surely after tax).

What's the tax he'd have to pay in Turkey? Do they have the same leeway as Italy?

That's a smelly BS. Even loaning any tom and dick RB would cost at least 4m per season. Why would we want that 7-10m deal, even if this is his last year of contract?

Such an underrated player.

Will miss him if he leaves.

Frimpong is the only reason people want him out i reckon. Hopefully Frimpong stays at Bayern Leverkusen or moves somewhere else so we can keep this guy.

We don't need to upgrade on our player of the last season (Dalot) - so why would we sell him to just replace both Dalot & AWB?

I don't see this happening unless we sign some wonderkid with a low price that hasn't hit the media yet.

Otherwise i dont see why an Europa League team trying to get back in the top 4 would look to spend their budget on 2 top quality RB's. We dont need to upgrade on Dalot & Wan Bissaka is more than fine for back up.
