Aaron Lennon

At the end of the day Chief likes to slate Lennon but it's clear to see that whilst he's not amazing he's a good winger and would be ideal in a Liverpool team that has no pace.

Rose is a winger.
That's besides the point. Today he is actually playing at left back. It's Van der Vaart and Bale playing in winger roles tonight for Spurs. Lennon is on the bench due to the presence of 2 strikers. Besides, I don't think Blackpool with their poor defending ability will enjoy seeing him off the bench late on. Don't be surprised if he steps off the bench to win the points for Harry.

Football is not athletics. You need more than just pace to be an actual threat. Lennon isn't a good dribbler, isn't good at crossing, isn't intelligent with his decision making, is a very average finisher and his vision is severely lacking. His only consistent attribute is pure pace.

But he is seen and acknowledged as a threat by some, me included. No one likes playing against Pace and people who are willing to use it, his control isn't the best no, nor is he gonna have a ball stick to him like glue but he uses his pace well and that is what makes him a threat. At least AC Milan seem to think so.

His final ball has improved and he was doing very well in the early part of this season.

A move away from Spurs will do him a world of good still only 23 I think. Loads of time yet.

By a fair number tbf. I just have never agreed with them.

For me he leaves me cold because for all his pace his runs lack intelligence and his final pass is almost always awfully wrong. That is why when a defender is wise to how to deal with his pace he starts to become a liability. It's criminal for a player as quick as he is to have such a problem, yet you are playing out wide.

They would. They had sloths and failed wingers playing for them at full back mostly.

Maybe. I've never been convinced by him since he first broke through tbh. So I can't claim to be the most objective on the matter. For his sake I hope he can get better.
