With Baggio you have a capable DM but will need Guardiola to put a good shift as well, when that was not the most remarkable part of his game.

Hmmm ... you are making me doubt my formation now!
But really I think you are underestimating Guardiola's defensive capabilities - granted that he was more the cultured type of DM (e.g. Carrick today) than a leg breaker but combined with Baggio then I think I have a strong shield for my defence.

I was really just deciding whether to go for another forward to partner Owen with Rivaldo in a free role behind them or an attacking mid/winger which pushes Rivaldo further forward to support Owen.

Although Rivaldo linked up best with better target men like Kluivert and Ronaldo, he did strike up a decent relationship with Saviola (a player of Owen's ilk) for a few months.

I'll be kind of disappointed if there's one player that doesn't get picked. For a period he was one of my favorite players and he was really good. There are at least 5 teams that could do with him.

Wasted talent, he looked like he could really pull off the "new Maradona" but then moved to Europe, started drinking and never quite got there.

He is regarded as the best Argentina Number 10 behind Maradona.

Not quite sure why he is being underrated here. He could have been better but he was still brilliant in pretty much every aspect of his game.

He was a good servant for Betis and was very tricky on his day - I remember him for the step overs! World cup winner too.
