6 Nations 2013

I'd imagine so if early reports are accurate. I reckon if Fitzgerald does get back in he could make a case for inclusion.

Knew it was going to be sloppy with the conditions
England made less errors and defended well

Shame it wasn't a more free-flowing contest, but still pretty gripping

Wahaay, what a day, England beating the Irish at Lansdowne and United 12 points a drift.
You can say what you want but England showed their superior football skills in very difficult conditions, hardy made a mistake all afternoon unlike the Irish who kept dropping the ball. Farrell did the business. On a dry day I'm convinced England would have slaughtered Ireland.

Oh god, Count will have you for that!

Ireland had all of the ball but were very sloppy so it's difficult to say. Either way, you play the conditions which I think we did better.

He and his kicking was the main reason England won today and I wouldn't be so sure about England slaughtering Ireland on a dry day either. I doubt Ireland would make as many handling errors on a dry day and on paper are as good as England when it comes to attacking players, defence there wouldn't be much in the difference quality wise either.

To be honest, the conditions suited Ireland. They will have wanted a physical battle from the beginning and that's what it came down to. England get a lot of quick ball and with our backs at the moment I think a bigger win was on the cards today if the conditions were right. Individual mistakes were the difference in the end though.

I think Ireland are less physical than they were a few years back and for once, the wet brought us back to England not the other way around. Very pissed off, after last week's terrific win over Wales. With Zebo out and the injuries mounting, thank God it's Scotland next and not France.

Did you watch the game at all? The conditions didnt suit us at all, we made so many handling errors. You act as if we just try and play kicking rugby everytime we play England in hope of keeping the score down. We've proved time and time again over the last 10-15 years that we are a good match for England and can beat ye in the passing game too.

Wouldn't be quite so dismissive of Scotland.

If your boys hadn't been such persistent cheats at the breakdown with such a weak ref he wouldn'd have felt the need to let your man know he was on the wrong side again and again and again.

I'm not actually an England fan, as this thread will show, but hey ho. England were doing niggly little things at the breakdown, and they rightfully got a player sinbinned for it. Still doesn't negate the fact that he's a dirty cnut doing things like that, and the fact he'll miss the rest of the tournament shows the governing bodies agree with me.

No place for that. Hope he gets a nice long ban, the idiotic shit.

Rugby is a funny game. Something that would be completely inexcusable and worthy of a ban for life in most other sports is tolerated because of the nature of the game. Obviously he went way too far, but in a game where the odd punch to the face is accepted and in some quarters welcomed it's not as serious an incident as it looks from the outside.

Ahem!

France are absolutely dreadful. They just keep passing and kicking to nobody! Atrocious display from a supposedly top nation. They might end up with the wooden spoon yet

Well done England. Still on for the Grand Slam. Italy won't cause any problems so the only team that can stop them now is Wales, and that's unlikely although the match is in Cardiff.

What the feck are we doing with the kicker selection? No O Gara??

This is madness, it's either going to be a stroke of genius or an absolute disaster.

Jackson should never have been on. Such a poor standard of kicking. fecking shite.
