6 Nations 2013

Have to do something with it though
Will have to catch the first half on iplayer later as was at football

Can't see Italy stopping England at Twickenham. So, comes down to the Wales-England game for the title now

A lot of England players will be forcing their way into Lions contention, be interested to see what people would have as their Lions side??

What a difference a year makes, before the 6N last year 3 or 4 England players were finding hard to make the squad and now it's very different. For me Launchberry is a big talent, I'd pick him at 5 and Robshaw at 7 his spot to lose at the moment. My team so far is probably -

1. Healy 2. Best 3. Cole 4. Gray 5. Launchberry 6. Wood 7. Robshaw (c) 8. Beattie 9. Young 10 Sexton 11 Zebo 12 Man Utd 13 BOD 14 North 15 Hogg

That was a disgrace by Ireland. Poor decision making. Kidney's ridiculous decision to sack O'Driscoll as captain has been shown to be an awful mistake. Time for Kidney to go.

I think they will just let Kidneys contract ride out, its up this year right? Anyway some positives in that the number 12 (I have forgotten his name already) made some decent runs at the start...other than that nothing else really. Yeah, what a pile of crap.

Laughable campaign by Ireland so far. The only reason there might not be more flak for them is that the French have been even worse.

I don't get it. The first half against Wales was utter domination and since then we've just gone to shite.

How the feck we lost against Scotland is just *mind blown*.

England are a good team as they showed vs France, I think that game can partly be put down to the weather and partly down to the fact our backs offered nothing all game.

I don't think we're as bad as it looks now given the results, but we're a shadow of the team of the late 00's.

That was a disgrace by Ireland. Poor decision making. Kidney's ridiculous decision to sack O'Driscoll as captain has been shown to be an awful mistake. Time for Kidney to go.

O'Driscoll was still calling the shots out on the pitch as was clearly evident yesterday when the camera zoomed in on Heaslip looking at the ground. So I'm not to sure that decision by Kidney made a whole lot of difference.

I wouldn't agree with letting Kidney go either, he's taking far to much flak and for yesterdays result particularly all because of stupid mistakes that was made by the players. Kidney had set them out to win which was evident by the amount of chances that was created and the possession etc, he or his background team couldn't do damn all after that.

Replacing Kidney and his background team whom are some of the bast in the world at their jobs would be a huge gamble. Hold on to Kidney, regroup and have the players whom have talent in abundance take a look at themselves before the next campaign would be my choice.

I've not been following it massively closely the last season or two but there are a few issues, from what I've seen.

1. Jackson isn't ready. Even ignoring his kicking, his use of the ball in hand and his control of the game wasn't good enough. He looks to have potential but it's a bit early. Likewise Marshall. He had a few nice breaks but ultimately he seemed to struggle to work himself into the game.
2. The scrum is still a massive problem. Court doesn't look to be the answer. He's not that bad in the loose but in terms of scrummaging he looks a bit lost.
3. Earls still doesn't seem to have developed any picture of the game. I think everyone assumed he'd have become more than a head down runner at this stage but he doesn't look it to me.
4. When we're under pressure we revert to the same old crash ball that we always have. When O'Brien isn't at his best, as was the case yesterday, that becomes more difficult.
5. Heaslip doesn't look a captain to me. A couple of times we should have gone for the posts instead of down the line. It doesn't matter if it's Scotland. Particularly if Best was having a mare on his own throw (which he does at times when he's under real pressure).
6. O'Callaghan looks like age might be catching up with him a bit. He's not as mobile as he once was.

I reckon we're looking at a couple of years of rebuilding. Though with 2015 looming we might end up playing a bit safe and hoping experience will drag us through.

Farrell is out against Italy, hope Lancaster goes for Freddie Burns but will probably go for Flood.

Also big news for England Tom Croft returns to the squad.

Big for Wales rather than Italy
I could see him being returned to Leicester for another 60-80mins of club rugby this weekend and then used against Wales

And re Flood/Burns, Burns has been injured hasn't he? Will definitely be Flood, with probably Burns on the bench

Croft won't be risked starting against Italy. He returned last week for Leicester and look back to his best. I don't think he will start against Wales either if Morgan is back. In both game I think he will be a impact sub for England in both games.

France look lost here, great kicking by Jackson.

Ireland well on top. Much better than against us in similar conditions.

The last time France lost their first 4 games was 1989.

feck sake, both centres injured. We will be really lucky to hold out here.

Ryan Jones out is a big loss but we will do England by 7 points at the Millennium, no problems. The title is going nowhere.

As if the stakes for the game weren't already high enough lads.

Never wish defeat to an Irish team in any sport.

But I'm glad to a certain extent that the rugby bubble has burst. The bandwagoning tossers can lay off the football team now.

Been a strange Six Nations, who'd have thought Ireland and France would be fighting to avoid the wooden spoon?

Even taking the horrendous injury pile-up into account it has still been a poor tournament for the Irish management. A string of poor decisions only compounded the dire situation we were already in. It's inevitable Kidney will go now, I wonder who will replace him?
