It should be every odd round that you randomize because you could end up at the bottom more often than not and that will severely impact the quality of picks. If you want to avoid the double pick, do so by having no. 15 pick before no. 16 when you're going back up the snake.

Yeah, it basically makes the draft 50% easier and for a consummate pro like Pat that means we are all fecked. Especially me of course.
Other option could be to randomly assign Pat and 2mufc a player and peak as their starting link. So they have to pick from that player and we go again.
I agree with HMan, for a criteria/restriction draft random doesn't work as the pools are not big enough, if you are in the unfortunate position of being put in the bottom half of the order a few times in a row (esp at the start of the draft) you are fecked (club criteria is pretty bad in these circumstances). If I knew this from the start I wouldn't have signed up for the draft.

Honestly, if people are worried about bad random order luck either of the following idea's could be implemented.
1. Reinforcement order goes from highest average selection position to lowest average selection position
2. Tiebreak is highest average draft position

Tbf I didn't see anything about the rule change until it was announced. Even though I've slightly benefited from it (for this round at least) I still don't think it's the best way of solving the issue. But we are where we are now.
It's not like Pat's going to win even with this advantage!

Yeah he does, it really confused me when he picked Resenbrink had me second checking the rules.
I was using the Harry Kane pool which I took this post as meaning I was allowed to do.
My understanding is you can only use the kane pool if you have no eligible players in your criteria. But in Michael's case there are Argentine players who have played in the Dutch league in that period.
Ah yeah this is confusing as it contradicts the rule.
