Yeah but one good thing is immigration being lower which I assumed would be far higher, as this was one of his main things

So I keep going one way or the other in terms of being worried and optimistic
The complete lack of context makes these exits poll a bit pointless and not something worth investing feelings in.

are there any people here who were on this forum for the 2016 election? That was a shock win for trump, what was the general consensus before results started to trickle in?

I am gonna open a bottle of 18-year Bowmore and hopefully celebrate the return of El Presidente.

A lot of us were, it was pretty rough going.

Slightly off your topic but this time 4 years ago was pretty low for me, my Mum died unexpectedly a few days before the election and I called it an early night feeling utterly miserable as everything was pointing towards 4 more years of Trump. The next day was a breath of fresh air.

everyone thought clinton was, as all the polls said, going to win by a massive landslide. it quickly turned sour.

What's everyone imbibing?

I'm a couple of Founders Breakfast Stouts in.

I don't drink so sticking to coca-cola for the sugar so I can stay awake for awhile, also bought a cheap cake from my local grocery store that tastes kinda sorta nice as long as you haven't had a real cake in a while to compare it to. It's good enough for celebrating a win for common sense and if it goes the other way it's also excellent for throwing at the window to see it disintegrate alongside democracy and the world as we know it.

Either way I think it will be money well spent.

How many people are currently watching Channel 4 hoping that Logan Roy Brian Cox tells Boris Johnson to feck off.
