2021 Summer Olympics (Tokyo)

Just watching the some of the swimming. The constant whistling in an empty pool hall needs to feck off though. Sounds as bad as the vuvuzelas watching on the TV

First ever Taekwondo gold medal for Thailand. Won by a girl whose nickname is "Tennis"

What an awesome weekend of sports it is. Having a feast with everything including the Olympics.
Manchester United game, SA T20 match, Springboks Rugby, Darts later, MMA early Sunday morning and the Olympics as well. Feel spoilt.

If you're on a Vodafone pay monthly contract you can get 6 months Discovery+ with the olympics for free at the moment.

Real shame Michael Johnson isn't on the BBC Olympic coverage this year, by far sports best pundit imo.

Will tune in tonight for the Skateboarding as it was a huge part of my life for 15 or so years, looking forward to it.

Skateboard has been really technical and fun per usual...probably only sport where the athletes are wearing their Airpods and can have their phone on them and just jam out.

So I don’t have Sky - should I download Discovery or Eurosport on my smart TV? Is one better than the other?

Incredible upset in the women's bike race a moment ago, the winner an outsider who doesn't even have a professional contract at the moment. Love the Olympics for stuff like that

Yeah, that was incredible. Broke away at the start and held it all the way through to the end. It shows why it's so different without teams, 3 minutes would have been easy for a well co-ordinated setup with 15km to go but no chance were they catching it with only the 4 Dutch and the individuals from other nations.

She was in bits at the end and understandably so.

Murray withdrew, and not for injury.

He's got a thigh strain and been advised by doctors to play one of the doubles or the singles I thought?

Eurosport is fantastic value for £6.99. Just don’t get it through an Amazon Prime account.

Breakthrough, big mistake from France to gift South Africa the goal. I'll take it. Hopefully we can hold on from here!
EDIT: no we can't, that was short lived!
Do you have an idea on what channel is the Brazil vs Ivory Coast game?

Apparently no one in the chasing group knew that Kieserhofer were so far ahead. Van Vleuten genuinly believed she took the gold!
Makes sense, i couldn’t believe the group didn’t push harder to catch her!

What happened the English girl in the taekwondo did she not win a medal?

Skateboarding was fantastic, love the format especially the best trick part, i don't think people really appreciate just how insane/difficult the stuff these guys are doing without having skated yourself.

They make it look way too easy.

Didnt watch it and i follow skateboarding a bit as well. What happened to Huston, 7th place only, that is a blow.

Best trick section let him down going for the huge cab flip to rail combo's instead of just setting solid scores to many 0.00's

Bradley Sinden from Doncaster in the Taekwondo gold medal match now.

BBC just switched iPlayer coverage from USA vs France in Basketball to Dressage!

Livid is an understatement.
