Reading story after story about how some American people are systematically being disenfranchised from voting made me think; is there any other “developed” nation where voter suppression is an actual thing?

There's already 100x more evdince of fraud in this election than in the one that led to Morales being ousted by the military.

No one has convinced me otherwise. Another 4 years of Trump incoming

He simply comes across as a pompous cnut whose journalistic integrity is unassailable by those mere editors in a company he founded. You’re right, it does seem as though he was teeing himself up to be obviously disappointed by the meddling editors in order to hoist himself on his own petard, almost like a martyr, it seemed pretty planned. The response from the female editor smacks much of ‘christ almighty, not this horseshit again’ & apparently it wasn’t the first time.

He seems so obtuse & somewhat condensing, like it was a mortal blow that a mere editor actually had the gall to oppose any of his written words. I bet he was an absolute horror with which to work. I found him interesting during all the Snowden revelations, but since then, he has seemed quite the disingenuous prick akin to a Log Cabin republican in this country, acting not out of journalistic betterment but for his own personal beliefs.

He can slink back to Brazil & wrap himself in the loving arms of the jackass in control that of that country. If we never hear from this officious prick, the world would be a substantially better place in which to live.

JFC, aren't you fully up your own arse

Biden isn’t going to take Florida. I reckon he needs minimum 6% there to avoid it being stolen in the courts.

Agreed. The only thing I really care about is PA - take that and Trump's path is basically choked off.

FL should be a fairly close call imo. Since they are all most in the eastern time zone, I'd imagine the networks calling PA and GA will probably seal the deal in either direction. If its closer, then obviously they will need to wait for TX, AZ, and one or two others.

And Pennsylvania doesn't look to be tightening at all. Biden's lead there with higher rated pollsters has been steady.

The fact it’s a close call is the problem though. A clear victory and its Biden’s, a few percent in it and Trump will go nuclear.

The court has no incentive to issue a contentious ruling in Florida if the election has already been decided elsewhere. If the polls are correct, NC, GA and AZ will be called before midnight, maybe PA (but they only start counting day of election, and mail ballots can still come in days later). Any combination of 2 will give Biden the presidency.

An early call for Florida just mean everybody can breathe a sigh of relief early and enjoy the meltdown. On the grand scheme of things, it’s not pivotal.

I think Biden may be in slightly better shape than Hillary was in FL going into the final weekend. That said, this time winning it would be a bonus but not a requirement.

I think the increased turnout points to a Biden win.

Another low turn out of ~50% I can see Trump having a good chance. With 70-80% according to reports that should see Biden get some more states even if already blue states are increasing the turnout.

Of course after Hillary some people won't want to get their hopes up

I still don't think the US is anywhere near a lock to fade GOP feckery. Some sort of crisis is almost bound to occur in any scenario where Biden doesn't ultimately crush the swing states and hold some sort of lead by the end of election night. PA's gonna be all sorts of nuts.

based on what evidence?

Unfortunately you should forget about PA. it’s unlikely to be called for at least a couple of days. NC and GA (along with NE2) should make it pretty unassailable though.

Reading the Election thread i see a lot of posters saying that they are afraid that Trump may be reelected.
I'm telling you that after four years of being one of the worst presidents ever and with all the media that was there to show us how shit he was, the social media echoing in every shit decision he made, there's no way he will get more votes than he did in 2016.
Many people that voted for him are very disappointed, Trump certainly did't deliver any of his promises about new american jobs and companies returning to USA.
Just remember that he didn't win the popular vote, something he will certainly wont do this time either and with the amount of new voters that are going to the polls, Biden will win by, at least, 5 points.
You read it here first.
