Clearly targeting some of the higher income places like the Bay area where that's not unheard of. Median income in the US is such a weird thing anyway. Around me it's around 125k/year and I never felt that was unusual for most of the upper middle class suburbs in some of the major cities.
I understand you can't go for the actual median in a country this size. Incomes and cost of living will vary massively between faraway rural areas and expensive suburbs of rich cities. But $400k is quite out there, wouldn't you say? Would there be anyone in the US who's on that income that you wouldn't consider very rich? (Not compared to billionaires, but compared to the average American.)

in biden's california there are needles, in trump's america things are clean,

I'll tell you what, Two Chainz is getting my Neilsen ratings in about 10 minutes over this shitshow.

the gun-toting lunatics praising Trump for keeping poor people out of their suburban communities by not allowing people to build housing in their areas.

They are talking at the RNC....because they waved guns at a crowd of black people.
I am reading Robin DiAngelo's White Fragility and came across this quote today from Lee Atwater (a GOP hotshot) from a 1981 interview, explaining the evolution of the GOP's Southern strategy: (sorry for the language, but it's important in the context):

"You start out in 1954 by saying, 'N****r, n****r, n****r.' By 1968 you can't say 'n****r' -- that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me -- because obviously sitting around saying, 'We want to cut this,' is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than 'N****r, n****r."'

(I got it from the book at first, but now copied it from an interesting related NYT opinion piece I came across: link.)

I never really considered how consciously racist people still are, and how well they've gotten at purposefully hiding it - but this quote makes it very clear. So what the people you're quoting really mean is this: ' keeping black people out of white communities by not allowing black people to build housing in white areas'. It's 100% understood by everyone listening, and they're all nodding along.

I read somewhere that the GOP was going to have a positive, optimistic convention. I was wondering how that'd even be possible without a platform to promote. I was stupid to give this even a second of thought...

i don't know about you but i'm in love with Comrade Biden now. The RNC has converted me to the marxist revolution.

That the protests are giving this oil baron PTSD is the best positive externality.

@Raoul I needed to watch the RNC to be convinced, but i'm on the Biden Train. GLORY TO COMRADE BIDEN!!! I didn't think he read enough theory but he's come around.
