we had a mini poll in my family.

2016 my children did not bother to vote. I voted Green Party and my wife voted Hillary.

All of us are voting on Super Tuesday for Bernie.
If he is not the nominee, none of us is voting for the Democratic candidate.

I honestly believe the country is ready for a 3rd party.
So many more Independents than either party.

The Justice Independent Party.
I think there is truth to this but the timescale we have to combat devastating climate change really doesn't allow for the time to build from the ground up. That's why people are desperately trying to fix the horror show that is the Democratic Party.

Sanders nomination which is very likely, is the last gasp from people completely dismayed by both parties.

I believe he will be President.

But after him, big business will stop the AOCs and Turner and the rest. That is when the third party of progressives will emerge.
But as you say Climate Change may overtake us all.

Sanders will declare Climate Change Emergency on his first day in office.
Honestly don't know how much all the countries can do together.

I saw a Bernie commercial for the first time today. First one was on the Spanish speaking channel for the CL and the other was in English just earlier. My money being put to good use

It wouldn’t work. One of the two parties would simply subsume the movement under its umbrella. The best way to advance a cause would be to take over one of the two parties from within, as Trump has done, and as Sanders would try to do if elected.

He seems to not even believe the things he says, but says them anyway in a desperate attempt to remain relevant among the adults.
I hope people can see through him.
i don't agree with the Bernie or bust perspective. I think voters should vote for someone like Warren if she is the nominee but people like Mayor Pete make it hard to vote.

Harder than having Trump in charge?

I don't understand the Bernie or Trump folks. If Bernie doesn't win, I will be pissed but I will still vote for anyone over Trump. He is just so damned toxic to the court system and if he got 4 more years, the damage will take 30 years to recover from (if we can recover from it).

Of course not but you have to give people something to vote for.
Buttigieg has essentially come to this party to say "you can't have this, you can't have that...".

Right. A genuine multi-party system is basically impossible with the election systems in the US. The only way for that to change is for the current parties to change the election system, which they obviously won't as it means losing power.

I'd be surprised, though wouldn't rule it out. He under performs polling and the polls aren't great for him.

Will be a shock if Biden doesn't win SC. Clyburn's endorsement should put Biden over the line and help him win by a relatively comfortable margin.

Very true. I usually add 3-5 points to any poll I see Sanders in due to his popular appeal, and remove 3-5 points from Biden because of the general lack of enthusiasm behind his campaign. If Sanders is within 5 points of Biden, he should win the state.

Whether it works or not will depend on what voters want.
Sanders when he is president will seek to change the party from within.
But the structures must be in place to ensure his successors can carry on his work. Otherwise we truly will see a revolution.

and you buy whatever shit that is dished out..as always.
read the thread...or do you need it translated to German.
Not sure who is supposed to do the reading. I am actually in agreement with you, plonker, for the most part . The 'be stoned' is what I referred to in my comment.

So, I tuned into the debate last night but fell asleep after a few minutes. :boring:

What I found most interesting was the advertisement against medicare for all.

Americans are stupid.

That bit about pregnant black women was cringey as feck. A good SNL skit would have him doing everyday stuff and throwing in likes like that at random in his stupid Obama voice.

So if you dont get your way you're happy to help with 4 more years of Trump. Cool.
