What a bizarre process.

Truly and completely. I'm utterly baffled. The CNN Feed just had to people talking about their kids summer plans for a few minutes. What on earth lunacy is this? Do they even know they are being broadcast internationally?

@Raoul Help me out here.

I'm trying to imagine this in my hometown, it would be priceless. Communists in one corner, christian conservatives next to them, just waiting to be counted.

Calls will grow for Iowa to lose their status as the first primary state after tonight's shambles.

So old people or handicapped people have to stay there for hours waiting for the whole thing to happen? The more I watch the CNN the crazier the whole thing sounds.

I followed the 2016 election and don't remember any of this.

they have to report 3 numbers (1st round i.e popular vote, 2nd round i.e final vote and delegate percentage) and this time there are 5 or more viable candidates instead of 2 in 2016. But still they have messed up.

So bizarre, what's their argument against the good old fashioned ballot in a box? Is it just a traditional thing or is there a reasoned argument for it?

tradition I suppose? but after this debacle I don't see a caucus (or this complicated version of caucus) again in the next elections

Yep, this must be the last thing candidates want, especially whoever wins. Conversation will be a lot about this fiasco instead of about them.
