238 + 6 (NV) + 10 (WI) + 16 (MI) = 270

Feck PA, NC, GA and AK where trump is leading.

Am I the only one who didn’t like this Kind guy? He knew the names of the counties I grant you that, and he repeated around 3 trillion times that we need to count the votes and we will be watching, but I didn’t see any insight from him. He couldn’t see Ohio where it was going despite that it was clear, and he really added nothing that you wouldn’t get by simply checking the map and the numbers.

Fair enough. I wonder how the future of political polling looks like after this. Confidence in them will be at an all-time low and even though 538 aren't a pollster, it will affect them, too.
 
The way I see PA. Biden has made up 200k votes in 7% of vote. Equates to making a yield of 30k vote to 1%.

With 18% votes to be counted Biden has a real potential to get 540k more votes then Trump and put him in a slight lead. Based on trends.

Just F**king say it John King or do the American viewers have no grasp of maths Christ you got to Admire BBC analysis.

When would you set the cut off? Republicans claiming fraud is pathetic but I agree with the point from them that the postal voters have had plenty of time to get their vote in.

He could not see Trump had polled 100k votes in Miami dade above 2016 thereby taking Florida immediately out of picture.

He's good at what he does and I think really helpful for people flicking CNN on every now and then. For nerds watching for several hours at a time whilst refreshing nine different tabs of data, he's gonna get rather dull and repetitive.
 
If Silver is right and Trump is demanding they stop counting while he's losing, that would be so typical of his administration's ineptitude at being assholes.

Whenever the counting is done.

This is the same argument I have with my accounting department that wants inventory numbers into them by 800A on the first of every month (which is literally when we get done counting product). They rarely start running the numbers to the third or the fourth. I constantly tell them that it doesn’t matter when the values are entered into the system, the count was taken at the proper time, the value input should take its proper time to ensure accuracy.

The simple fact that everything was counted at the proper time is the essential thing. Entering it later will not effect what cost was at that particular time, but accountants tend not to see things so laterally.

It's 80/20 and considering that early ballots turned in before election day are still outstanding in Clark county, I think Biden will actually net votes in the final dumps.

From what I saw they tried to rate them based on methodology and previous success, and I'm not sure what else you can do. It's just very difficult to model turnout, and it seems there are low propensity voters who are disproportionately Trump that don't get picked up.

From now on I'm just going into an election expecting a tossup.
 
Despite being Superpower and all the technologies in the world, American election process is so confusing and messy. How can you not count votes that has been casted? Trump is trying to turn America into soft democratic country like Turkey.

You don’t live here, do you? Mail has been delayed by weeks in some instances.

Again, it ain’t when it’s counted, it’s when the vote occurs. There are safeguards in place to determine when votes were made. When it is counted is irrelevant except to the aggressively ignorant & easily mentally swayed.

The point is that bettings are reactive, not predictive. There is one possible outcome of 2 Biden or Trump. If bet companies would be able to predict and they would be good at it, they should predict once and be spot on. bouncing around when they hear the news that changes the option all the time is just the reaction of people that hear the news putting money on bets changing the odds. Reaction....not prediction

His job is to talk for like 24 hours and fill hours of gaps where no news has come in so yeah there's gonna be some repetitiveness. They also have people tuning in regularly throughout the day so they go over stuff again. You get 0 insight from football pundits either, just soundbites and common sense 'he should be scoring that' 'he should be making that save' great thanks for the 500 iq insight. Plus the average person isn't as clued in to the maps and numbers and rely on that to understand what's going on.
