2020 US Elections | Biden certified as President | Dems control Congress

So in the US people ring your doorbell and tell you to vote for X, much like Jehova's witnesses? I'd love that in The Netherlands just to see what kind of people they send.
Even pornhub wants you to click on "I voted" before allowing you to access the content :D

20,000+ lead in WI.

No way they can flip that with a recount. Just draggin the election out.. for what purpose?

Who was the black chap on CNN this morning (UK time)? He nailed it. Greater turn out is not necessarily a purely Democrat advantage, so Republicans can stop suppressing the vote now. Minorities are complex and shouldn’t just be assumed to be anti-Republican either, there’s plenty of conservative minority demographics.

That's one of the biggest takeaways here. They don't care abt Trump's racist nonsense cuz they might be better off economically speaking. At the end of the day that is what matters.

It's not a tossup if Collins wins. Dems need to win Maine and Georgia runoff to control the senate (and in that case, Kamala needs to settle permanently there considering that it is gonna be 50-50).

Maine has some sort of weird Senate vote thing so I heard somewhere,
If it goes to Trump, that is a major boost to him. Also an egg on the face for Fox. They called it to Biden like 12-13 hrs ago or something

I wouldn't trust that random Twitter account, look at the comments... None of the maths is adding up and pure speculation

Lads, what are the consequences?
Well, if a company with 3000 twitter followers outsmarts the bods behind the Fox and AP decision desks, that'll be very 2020.

Sick of this rollercoaster. One minute it's a sure thing, the next it's worrying

Biden's campaign team should just call voter fraud claims "fake news". Give it back to the conservatives.

Has Trump really said, I have won already and want the counting to stop, or is it the news twisting his words ?
I think he was against this whole notion of bringing out more ballot boxes to count when he was leading. He kinda believes it is unfair to "magically" bring out more ballot boxes that don't contain more votes for him

I can't believe this shit. I am not putting myself through this again.

I can’t get my head around Maine going +8 Biden and +9 Collins.

I have been following this loosely.

He’s cutely refereed to only ‘voting stopping,’ but all voting had stopped by the time he went on air live & said this.

No doubt he wanted all counting to stop at that time, though. Not difficult to see what he meant.

UK and US competing for who looks like the biggest dickhead international contest. Do these countries have any self respect?! Actually, knowing the yanks I was convinced Trump would win and surprised he hasn’t yet sealed the election.

That's miserable. After the year they've had with police brutality and putting children in cages.
It may seem outrageous but other than some of the other reasons mentioned already - you'd wonder how many immigrants were worried about what would happen to them if they d vote for Biden and Trump would win. Many of them come from places where persecution for that kinda stuff is a possible reality, and Trump certainly hasnt helped the belief that he wouldn't.

Yes. People vote in order (like candidate A first, candidate C second, cadidate B third, candidate D fourth etc).

If no one wins 50%, then the two who are leading go in a runoff. But not against each other, instead the second votes of the other candidates starts going for the two leading candidates. Which can change the final results. In any case, Collins is leading big (70k votes) with 120k votes remaining to be counted, and is above 50%. Even if she somehow goes under 50, the two other candidates have combined only 50k votes, and they need to have voted totally for Gideon for this to change something.

Essentially, Dems should have spent money here instead of spending 250 million in South Carolina, Kentucky and another two states they still lost. Next to Colorado, this should have been the biggest target, but for reasons unknown Dems thought that they have it on the bag.
