Indnyc struck gold with a free run at Beckenbauer, yet I like to think that I did reasonably well here by drafting the highest-rated Dutch player who wasn‘t blocked.:cool:

The ever-reliable defensive stalwart Ruud Krol gets resigned to bolster my defence and I can also bank on spanish goalkeeper Pedro Maria Artola, winner of the 1977-78 Ricardo Zamora Trophy as the best goalie in La Liga.

Should've been blocked — I posted my picks after gs said that they couldn't have played together, so I opted for Vasovic. If I saw Skizzo's criteria first, I would've gone for Krol-Gullit.

Beckenbauer - Keizer is a fantastic outcome from this round.

The hipster lobby is far too high with total football going by last draft as well. Expected a lot to jump on Cruyff but expected a couple to go for Maradona as well. Which is mental and should be the other way round.

The player ratings in these drafts are massively messed up right now.

Maybe many thought no way I'm getting Maradona.

The gap between Diego and Cruyff is hilarious so agree with messed up ratings.

Don't think that anyone bar very few rates Cruyff ahead of Maradona, but, as it happens in sheep drafts, people went with a slightly lesser player (feels wrong to type that in) in a hope that everyone else will fight for a GOAT. For my particular team Cruyff is a better pick than Maradona, but that's an exception.

I‘ve seen no one claiming that Cruyff is better than Maradona.:D

Didn‘t expect that many managers to go for him, mainly because he is quite difficult to build around and one sheep potentially destroys the balance of the whole side.

I went for him because he would‘ve fitted perfectly into the side I‘m trying to build, which is not really a total football one.

Cruyff is more versatile tho. Can be used on the left wing etc..

Maradona to us means little sense having Zidane already in. We went with Rivellino - who we could fit on the left wing, but not Maradona.

The criteria would probably be even more hard and with smaller pool most would try to fill their teams in the positions they need rather than go for the very best player.

What was surprising is no one going for Best and Romario - both will fit nicely in every team out there.
 
Zidane being underrated and now Best and Maradona being unpicked. I do think we are gonna lose considering their seems to be a hipster thing going around.
 
This is a really boring round considering the first 3 were quite original.

Pep Guardiola effect? Seems off late a lot of favour has been towards fluidity and possession as opposed to a more direct approach.
